Wow
Livejournal tells me it's been three weeks since I last posted. I kind of fail don't I?
As usual, it's not cuz I don't have time. And it's not cuz I don't have anything to say. I just never felt like it.
Well. Today I kind of feel like it.
Two weeks ago was Pathfinder interviews. I really felt like I did a good job. I radiated confidence and got to talk about East Asian Studies most of the time, so it was easy for me. everyone else felt like they did a good job. And while that's fabulous it makes me kind of nervous because that means a lot of other people probably felt that way. So I don't know what the results will be. I hope I win something.
Last week I applied for the Morikami scholarship. I really think I have a good chance with that, being all interested in Asia n stuff and majoring in East Asian Studies. I have an interview on Saturday that I will hopefully ace. And the awards ceremony for that is on Apr 4, so much earlier than Pathfinders, which is Aprl 28.
I got my Wittenberg scholarship results back yesterday and I only got an extra $4,500 per year. And while that's nothing to sniff at, full tuition would have been amazing. I now have a little less than half the yearly cost covered (which includes room & board). So I've got a lot of scholarship apps to fill out. *sigh*
On a brighter note, I got my new BoA CD yesterday =D. The Face is a nice album but I don't think I like it quite as much as Made in Twenty (20). I will have to listen to it more, but I think it will grow on me. I also got Younha's 1.5th Korean album, Comet, which consists of Korean versions of her Japanese album Go! Younha. This is a really great album. I have HUGE respect for Younha as an artist. She really can sing and her songs are awesome. So I'm happy that I have this album. :3
I got two more too. (I know, I got a lot, but I've paid the price, and I now have $45 left in my account--enough for one more tank of gas. x_x) Byil's album, Byul The Best, is full of her sweet voice and some cute little ballads, including songs I love like "December 32nd" and "I Think I." I'm pleased with this too.
Finally, I got Super Junior's second album, Don't Don! which is a fun album. I love SuJu a lot and I enjoy their vocals, but I'm not sure I liked this album very much. However, I'll keep listening and let it gorw on me. :3
I really want to get Zhang Li Yin's first album but I have no moneys! It eats at my soul every time I think of it D: I want~~~
(I could just download it but I don't want to mooch. >_>)
Grah.
So today I'm going prom dress shopping with Nelson and Billy. It should be an interesting experience. xD;
Oh! The week before last Daniela, Nelson, Billy, and I FINALLY had our DBSK day. :3 It was loads of fun. We watched DBSK and Shingo Mama and ate tacos and beat up my brother and his friends. xD I enjoyed it. And we need to do it again.
Last Saturday was our school's Academy Awards night, where they gave out awards and stuff. It was fun. I won a $1000 scholarship. =D Yay~
So I think that's all I really have to talk about for today. I will try to post in my own journal more often. xD; I kind of fail.
