A/N: So yea, i read somewhere that someone had challenged themselves to write a Owen/Ianto fic but wasn't sure how to turn their hate/hate relationship into a love/hate one, and well I got inspired...

“I told you,” Owen whispered heatedly into Ianto’s ear as he pressed the younger man against the wall of the autopsy bay. “You’re just a tea-boy, a part-time shag. He doesn’t love you. He never has and he never will. And now that he’s gone, he’s never coming back.”

“You’re wrong,” Ianto bit back as he shoved Owen off of him. Jack had been gone for two weeks now. Tosh and Gwen were still trying to figure out what took him, but Ianto and Owen knew different. They had both heard many fanciful tales of Jack’s adventures with the Doctor, and Ianto recognized the blue box on the CCTV almost immediately. They knew he had run off after the Doctor. They had always known he would, but they had at least expected a warning. “You’re just jealous. Ever since I came here, I’ve been the one Jack’s been lusting after. Your pride’s been bruised by having to take second stage to me.” He punched Owen and began exiting the bay. He had work to do.

Owen grabbed his wrist and pulled him back. “You’re wrong,” he said in a tone saturated in sympathy and sorrow. “I know what it’s like to be used by Jack Harkness and then cast away. The girls are lucky. He’s too much of a gentleman to use them, and Gwen has the added buffer of Rhys. But I know.”

“That’s funny,” Ianto replied wryly. “If I remember correctly, Rhys didn’t deter you at all. Jack and I are different Owen. Besides, why do you care? You were shagging Suzie when I came here.”

“We were both on the rebound, from him. And Gwen, she’s so much like Suzie it’s scary. But you Ianto, you’re different. You’re broken inside. Jack may have been able to patch you up for now, but it’s only a matter of time before he breaks you for good.”

“And you would know?” Ianto asked.

“Yes I would,” Owen replied, his voice quiet. “It almost killed me when Diane left, you saw that. You were the same wreck over Lisa. The only difference between us is I wasn’t as fragile when I slept with him. Take Jack out of the equation and we’re exactly the same.”

“We’re nothing alike!” Ianto yelled. He shook his wrist out of Owen’s grip and stormed back into the Hub. Luckily Gwen and Tosh were out on a Weevil run, so he didn’t have to worry about them. Unfortunately, that also gave Owen license to follow him.

“You git! Don’t you get it,” Owen ranted. “I could care less that the old wanker chose you over me. I’m worried about you!”

Ianto stopped and turned around. “I’m quite capable of taking care of myself,” he replied curtly. “I don’t need anyone’s pity, especially not yours.”

“Oh bloody hell!” Owen muttered under his breath before grabbing Ianto and snogging him. Ianto’s jaw slacked in surprise and Owen used the opportunity to pry the younger man’s lips open. He worried Ianto’s bottom lip with his teeth eliciting a guttural moan that went straight to Owen’s cock. He slyly slipped his tongue into Ianto’s mouth and caressed every surface he could reach with due diligence. Finally, when the need for air was too great, Owen pulled back panting. Ianto’s beautiful blue eyes were wide, the pupils dilated in arousal, and his kiss-swollen lips just begged for more attention. Owen leaned back in to recapture those sweet lips, which is why didn’t notice Ianto’s fist making its way toward his jaw.

Owen lay sprawled on the floor. “You bastard,” Ianto spit at him before stalking off. Owen made a tactical retreat back to the autopsy bay. He took out an ice pack and placed it to his jaw to minimize the swelling. Unfortunately, by the time Tosh and Gwen had returned, his jaw was varying shades of blue and black. Gwen glared at him when she saw the bruise. Tosh just went to go find Ianto.

“Please don’t ask,” Owen pleaded. “It’s not gonna be a problem, not anymore. I got what Ianto was saying loud and clear. I’m going home.” He stalked out of the Hub before Gwen could stop him. She threw her hands up in exasperation and went to go find Tosh and Ianto. Perhaps he’d tell them what happened.
