~Thinking of You~
Prologue: Troubling News
“They want me to do WHAT?!” Daiki sprang up from his seat, a look of sheer panic flashed before his eyes. “N-No way, I d-don’t want to!” he objected.
“It doesn’t matter, Daiki. It’s already been decided,” Kota tried to explain as soothingly as possible, in a vain effort to calm his friend down.
“B-But Kota, they can’t make me do this, can they?” Daiki protested, his voice suddenly turning to a squeak.
“I hate to say this, but you know the answer to that question already,” Hikaru grimaced, gently putting his hand on Daiki’s shoulder.
“Yeah, I mean, this is Johnny-san we’re talking about here. I’m pretty sure he can make you do anything he wants,” Yuya laughed bitterly.
“B-But, But I…”
“It might not be that bad, Daiki,” Kei tried to smile supportively at his best friend. “You’ll be doing a service for your fans.”
“What kind of fans would want to see me dancing around shirtless??” Daiki groaned, drooping his head into his hands dejectedly.
“At least it’s not pants-less,” Hikaru laughed.
Kota immediately shot him a livid glare. “Not helping,” he snapped.
“I’m just saying, shirtless isn’t that bad, I mean, just ask Ryosuke about it, he’s probably done it at least a billion times by now,” Hikaru shrugged nonchalantly.
Daiki looked forlornly in the direction of the SEVEN dressing room. “Yeah, but that’s Ryosuke… He’s got a body worth showing… Me, I’m not so sure about,” he frowned.
Yuya rolled his eyes and smiled, “I’m sure you’ll be fine, Daiki. You wouldn’t have been asked to do such a performance if Johnny-san didn’t think you were ready for it.”
Daiki sighed. “You all seem to have more confidence in me than I do.”
“Of course we do,” Kei smiled kindheartedly once more, putting his palm on the top of the shorter boy’s head as bent down slightly to look him straight in the eyes. “You are amazing no matter what you do. Never forget that.”
Daiki smiled sheepishly at his friend’s praise, and Kei casually stood himself straight again as Hikaru smiled. “Definitely! We’ll always be here for you, Daiki!”
“Always,” Kei repeated, nodding defiantly.
