The peeing monster

So...the kitten I just aquired is the cutest thing I've ever seen...except she is supposed to be litter trained and she won't go in her litterbox! Last night she peed on my blanket (as it was covering me, mind you) in bed, and then today daniel was sitting on the couch with a blanket and she pooped on him! She's really friendly, and active, and didn't seem to be bothered with the change in location, she's not shy at all and isn't acting traumitized.

She doesn't seem to be interested in the litterbox at all, and I have no idea how to train her. Anyone have any ideas? Please?? Getting peed on sucks!!

I have like, zero experience with cats.
