Yorokobi no Uta
It was a dark, rainy day.Sparkling lightnings lit the dark, sad sky, giving birth to horrible thunders.Six juniors were heading to a dark, crowded studio.They were all wondering why Johnny-san insisted them to be back dancers for that band…
“Tell me again, why do I have to be paired up with those 5 loosers when I ALONE can make a wonderful job?”one of the boys asked while playing with his beautiful dark hair.
“Because your brain would be enough to ruin the whole show, so WE, the 5 LOOSERS, are here to prevent that”a little rapper full of blings responded angrily, giving the boy next to him a sweet and tender look, making the older one blush.
“Ahem, excuse me, do you think he actually HAS a brain?”the full-liped boy pointed at his head with a stupid gesture and started laughing.
“Guys, just let him be, all right?”the younger one took the ebony-dark haired guy’s part.
“Ooooh, someone seems to be in love…”the talented beatboxer laughed histerically.
“Shut up or I’ll-“
“Jeez, will you guys please stop fighting?I mean, we’re all here so there’s no point to fight, we can’t change anything anyway, right?”the tall and always smiling kid shut them all.”It’s not like we know each other good enough to fight…maybe we will turn out to be really good friends”he pointed at all of them and got his eyes back to the PSP.
The car went on with no more fights or incidents, nobody said anything anymore, they just decided to ignore each other the rest of their trip.
When they finally arrived at the studio, the juniors got out of the car and headed to Johnny-san’s office, hoping this would all be a bad dream.
“Well, here you are, finally and just in time…I have someone to introduce you to.This is Koichi Domoto.Koichi, these juniors are going to be your new back dancers : Kamenashi Kazuya, Akanishi Jin, Taguchi Junnosuke, Tanaka Koki, Ueda Tatsuya and Yuichi Nakamaru.They are all kind of nasty, but please take good care of them.That’s all, please work hard.”Johnny-san said quickly and left the room.
Koichi patently studied every boy, noting their good and bad points.He also asked them about their name, blood type, birthday date etc.
“Yoshi! That should do it…You will be united under the name of KAT-TUN.It is a name formed by your initials, so don’t dare to complain or fight over it.Please go to the practice room and start your work.”Koichi said and left the room when he heard someone calling his name impatiently.
“Well, I guess that’s it after all.I’m Junnosuke,but you can call me Junno. Nice to meet you all!”the tallest said cheerfully and started shaking hands with his new bandmates.
Nobody backed off, infact, they were all warmed up by this smiling strager’s attitude, so they went along with the game and introduced themselves as well, blushing and grinning, but yet ashamed of their early fight.
The next day, everyone arrived early at the studio.There were only a few days until the concert so they had to train hard so they could at least be acknowledged by Kinki Kids.They were determined to surpass them one day and do their best for this, even if it ment to be freinds with each other.Jin finally got off his car and, after 5 minutes of arranging his hair, he headed to the rest of the band.KT-TUN were chatting passionatelly about their first day at work, so Jin's presence wasn't noticed.
"I can't wait to see the coregraphy"Taguchi said enthusiasticlly, his eyes slowly turning to Ueda, waiting for a reaction...he had a feeling that might be his future best friend, so he kept him under survillance, not noticing that he was actually starring at him.
"Yeah, i wish we could sing too..."Maru said.
"Maybe we will get so sing with them one day!I bet you voice is amazing Nakamaru..."Koki said while a wild blush appeard on his face.
"Hey, what about we all go out tonight, to know each other better?"Jin finally said something.
All the boys turned around to see Jin standing lonely behind them, thinking of a lame excuse of not going out with this narcisist guy.
"That might be fun."Kame said, stepping out of the group, blushing softly and slowly following Jin inside the studio.The rest of the band thought that those two were lovers so they just left them be.The coregraphy proved to be more complicated than expected.It was full of acrobatics and complicated dance steps.The only one that didn't seem affected was Jin.-He must be hyper-Kame thought, as drinking his last bottle of water.
"Umm....Ueda, do you mind if i borrow one of your bottles of water?"Kame asked shily, expecting a "NO!" or a refuse,
"Yeah, sure!"Ueda smiled cheerfully, while handing Kame one of his bottles of water."After all, we're bandmates now."
"Arigatou gozaimasu!"Kame bowed and smiled back at him."Wanna be friends, Ueda?"
"Yap, sure."Ueda grinned and went to hug his new friend, Kame.Kame hugged him back, creating a new relationship."Wanna go out tonight with Jin?"he asked.
"I don't really like that Akanishi guy, so what about going just the two of us?"Ueda responded blushing lightly, yet throwing a disgusting look at Jin.
"C'mon, let's just give him a chance.Please..."Kame knew what to do next to convince the older one so he made the puppy face: big, big eyes and lower lip shivering.
"Ok, ok, you got me with that helpless puppy face."Ueda laughed and poked Kame on his belly.Then, he started tickling a yelling Kame who was laughing with tears.
"Oi, stop it!"Kame laughed loud, he couldn't take it anymore, he started tickling Ueda too.Now they were both laughing and they continued their game until the break was over.
Like nothing happened, Jin went off alone to have lunch, upset that he couldn't tickle the red-haired guy too...He was thinking that he, HE should be Kame's friend, not Ueda.Now he had to give up, Kame can't have 2 friends.-No, i can't give up...not yet...i will have him, no matter what!-Jin decided and sat at a 6-sits table.
Five minutes later, Kame joined him and then the rest of the band.Jin tried to talk to Kame, but even though he was sitting next to him, he couldn't hear him, Kame was talking and laughing with Ueda.Suddenly, Jin grabbed Kame's arm and kissed him on the cheek.Kame remained stupefied and the rest of the band, except Taguchi and Ueda seemed not to notice this small incident.
"So, are you guys lovers?"asked Taguchi, with a innocent face, meaning no harm.A large smile started to fill his face and soon averybody was silently waiting for the answer.
"Of course n-"
"Yes, we are.So what, are you jealous?"Jin cutted short, not letting Kame deny anything, happy of getting his revenge on Ueda.
"We are lovers since a few months ago, we know each other already.We WERE best friends, but we ended up being lovers due to our feelings.Am I right, sweetheart?"Jin turned to Kame, blushing intensly and waiting for his answer.
"We are not lovers.He is making it up, I don't know him and ,thanks to the wake-up call I had just now, I'll never be his best friend.NEVER"Kame hit the table furiouslly, angry at the older boy that made such a lame scene and left.He didn't even know Jin, that's for sure, but he thought he was a nice guy.He was mistaking.Jin was an ass.
After telling the others that Kame was a bit upset and wasn't ready to admitt their relationship, Jin ran quickly after his new-declared boyfriend, but without success.He didn't know where to look, but he finally found Kame sobbing in a closet.
"Oi, stop crying, you're a man!Yamete!"Jin yeled at Kame, while the younger one was looking with his eyes full of crystal-like tears at him.-Those tears are cried for me..aren't they....his face is so beautiful when he cries, yet so sparkling when he smiles- Jin thought.
"How c-can I...*sob-sob*...s-stop c-cry-crying when...*sob-sob*...y-you made f-fun of..*sob-sob*...m-me."Kame was crying hard now, so Jin hugged him.His surprise was that Kame pushed him back and ran away with full speed.Jin was so astonished that such a cute and thin boy has such a great power.
Kame's tears were now falling quickly, but he couldn't help it.He wasn't trying to hide them because he knew he couldn't.Suddenly, he hit someone and fell on the floor.
"Kamenashi, are you all right....ne, please, stop crying, he's just an ass."Taguchi said as he helped Kame up.He then hugged him and begged him to stop crying.Kame finally resumed to sobs again and told Taguchi about his feelings.He knew he could trust Taguchi, he simply knew he would shut up.Surprised, Taguchi took him to an empty room, so they would have privacy, so no one could hear them.
"Junno, I love him"Kame burst into tears and started bambling again."He th-thinks i-it's all a-a g-game, but i-i really fe-feel l-like that ab-about h-him...even i-if it's just tw-two days sp-spent with h-him, they're t-the be-best da-days ever, i-i d-don't know h-him, y-yet i l-l-l-love him."Kame sobbed, not knowing what the other would say.
"It's going to be ok, Kamenashi"Taguchi smiled."You just need to get closer to him and get along with him as well...maybe, who knows?"he grinned.
"Stop giving me false hopes"Kame said while trying to calm down.
"Junno....you are my friend, right?"Kame asked full of hope.
"If i wouldn't be, would you tell me all these?"Taguchi laughed and patted Kame on the head.Kame was so tired so he silently fell asleep with his head leaned on Taguchi's lap.
"Now, then, we should call it a day."Taguchi smiled, looking at the dark, full of stars sky, wishing his new sleeping friend a happy and peacefull nap.
