Notes: This was written for the
historical roleplay square on my kink_bingo card. The universe was borrowed with blessing from the ever-fun
je_levy; her brilliant NTT steampunk AU begins
here. Hopefully this does the original justice, because it was a really fun romp for me to get to play in this sandbox.
Also, with this fill I complete a bingo!
The whole week had been nothing but gloomy, cold rain. Koki was bored. Yucchi was holed away in the room he'd made into his study, writing long letters to members of Parliament and his former colleagues in the military. He'd kicked Koki and Junno out, telling them to go find their own entertainment after they'd spent the morning rearranging his desk every time he left the room. Apparently that wasn't as amusing to him as it was for them.
They'd also gotten kicked out of the kitchen, the workshop, and the sitting room. Junno had a habit of putting his boots up on the velvet couches, and the maid had had enough, shooing them out. She was ferocious when armed with a feather duster.
Bored and sullen, Koki had trudged to his room, Junno happily following him. Koki flopped onto his bed and heaved a sigh. All that was left was sleeping. He fell into a light doze as Junno puttered around; Koki's bookshelf seemed to have caught his attention.
Insistent poking against his lower back woke Koki, and when he rolled over to swat at Junno, he was met with a book in his face. It was leather-bound, gaudy gilt letters, and Koki hadn't seen it for years. Junno opened it to the frontispiece, metal fingers pointing earnestly at the illustration of a dapper swashbuckler and his wench.
"Read to me, Koki~" Junno said, eyes pleading from over the top of the pages.
"Read it yourself," Koki mumbled, still rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Junno whimpered, and Koki caved, if only to stop him from making such a ridiculous face. "Well, fine. It'll be something to do, I guess."
Koki couldn't help but grin as Junno pulled him to the oversized loveseat under the window. Junno sat first, leaning into one corner. Koki settled down mostly against his lap, and they had a few moments of elbows poking sides as they got more comfortable. Junno ended up with one leg off the sofa with Koki between his legs; he’d snuggled up against Junno's chest so that they could both look at the pictures as he read.
It was actually kind of fun, reading aloud to Junno. He even added voices, and soon they were both laughing. The dreary weather was forgotten, and soon enough, Koki suggested they play out the stories. He'd never had anyone to play with, growing up all alone in the manor.
"I'm Captain!" Koki declared. Junno pouted for a minute, but Koki remained strong. He twisted around in Junno's lap and fixed him with a stern gaze. "My house, I'm the captain."
"Fine," Junno began. "But I wanna be your sidekick wench!" he warbled. Koki blinked for a second, and then nodded.
"I'm not sure you'll fill out a dress..." Koki trailed off, trying to envision it.
"I'd make a fine wench though! I'm charming and vivacious," Junno protested. He was just as resolute as Koki was over being captain, so Koki finally shrugged in agreement.
Koki got up, setting the book aside in favor of pulling Junno up to join him. He dragged Junno to the chifforobe across the room, and flung open its doors..
"We have to look the part, of course," he said. Junno nodded sagely.
Collecting clothes had always been something Koki had enjoyed; he had even learned how to sew with his mum's help. The two of them whiled away many afternoons in her sitting room, poring over fashion plates and sewing patterns.
He refocused on the clothes in front of him, very nearly diving into them; the chifforobe was huge and stuffed full of shirts and pants, along with dresses and skirts. He liked the variety; pants all the time just got boring.
Koki pulled out an off-white shirt, lacing at the collar and excessive sleeves. They hung over his wrists just the tiniest bit, not enough to hinder him. The black trousers he was already wearing would suffice, and all he needed was a vest, or maybe a sash. Even better, he could have both. A few more moments of digging and Koki found a fancy black vest, the kind that hung loosely, and a length of red silk. He finished tying the sash around his waist, and then turned to look at Junno; he'd been uncharacteristically quiet the whole time.
Junno's attention was focused on the clothes hanging up. He seemed to be on the verge of pawing at an aquamarine dress; it was the one he'd brought back for Koki when Yucchi had needed him to sneak into a ministerial function and get information. The trailing hem had gotten a bit bloodstained, so Koki had altered it, cutting the skirts from ballroom-length to above-knee. He'd also made the sleeves less-flowing and they showed off his arms a bit more.
Koki side-eyed Junno, unwilling to admit he had sentimental feelings regarding the dress. Junno looked down at him, doing that pleading with his eyes thing again, and Koki huffed out a breath.
"Fine. But you have to be really careful in it. And you might need something under it, 'cause I think it'll be shorter on you than it is me."
Junno nodded, grin lighting up his face. Koki playfully shoved him, returning his smile before rummaging through the clothes once again. He needed to find all of the proper pieces; cream stockings and camisole would do well, and Koki was sure he had some shorts that Junno could wear. They'd probably be indecently short, but that would be okay since Junno was going to be his wench.
Koki emerged with the pile of undergarments and handed them to Junno. "Go on, get changed," he said, attention on pulling the aqua satin from its hanger as carefully as possible.
He turned around, dress in hand, only to be greeted by The Look again. "What."
"This all looks very complicated," Junno said, and Koki had to roll his eyes.
"Fine, I'll help you, even though you've watched me do this plenty of times." Koki took his dress and spread it out over the sofa, and then turned his attention to Junno again. "All right, come here."
Junno crossed the room, and Koki took the bundle of clothes from him. Once Koki had taken them from him, Junno seemed to have recalled how one undressed. His shirt hit the floor as Koki shook out the stockings; his trousers joined it quickly. Koki shook his head in amusement.
"Okay. Stockings first."
Junno nodded as he took a seat on the very edge of the sofa, avoiding wrinkling the dress. He held one leg up, and Koki knelt in front of him to roll it up. It looked as if Junno desperately wanted to make suggestions regarding Koki's position, but he held his tongue. Maybe Koki should reward him, but later.
The shorts were next. They were black and contrasted nicely with all of the cream and aqua, and would match Junno's boots well. Koki let Junno fasten them as he readied the camisole. Junno raised his arms for Koki, and then wriggled in place as the silk slid along his skin.
"This feels good, Koki. Is that why you wear this stuff?"
Koki shrugged. He'd never really given it much thought; clothes were clothes, to him. Just some of them had more frills sometimes. "Mm, I guess so. I just like clothes, regardless of who is supposed to wear them. Okay, time for the dress. Arms up again."
Junno did as he was told, and waited until Koki stood and pulled him to stand. Koki stood on tiptoes to slip the dress over Junno's head, and then gently smoothed out the wrinkles. He tugged at the fabric, pulling the skirt lower, then adjusted the collar and sleeves. Then he stepped back, taking in the full view.
Just like he'd predicted, his shorts were as short as Koki had expected, with the bottom hem of the dress barely brushing past them. Combined with the several inches of bare skin showing between that and the tops of the stockings barely covering Junno's knees, it was a sight to behold. He definitely made a good wench, better than Koki had thought.
"I think we're ready to swashbuckle and search for treasure," Koki said, putting his hands on his hips as he nodded, mostly to himself. "But shoes first okay? Stockings just don't do well on the floors here, and I don't want you to get them too dirty."
Junno nodded and added, "I think you're still missing something." He fell silent, frowning as he thought about it, and then lit up when it came to him. "Eyepatch!"
"Um, I'm sorry, what?" That was random.
"We need to see if you can borrow an eyepatch!"
That would be good. "I don't think Yucchi would let us, though," Koki said. "Also he did seem kind of upset when he kicked us out of his study."
"We won't know unless we ask." It was kind of unusual for Junno to be the one with logic; he was kind of hung up on pirates with eyepatches.
"Well, yeah," Koki said, following along behind Junno as they snuck back to the wing of the manor with Yucchi and his study. The view was quite distracting, and Koki thought he misheard when Junno casually spoke over his shoulder.
“You know, Koki, I used to sneak into houses before I met you. Through the chimneys, you know. I mean, they’re just open all the time and no one even notices it. People are weird, leaving chimneys unguarded like that.”
Koki had no response for that. He simply made what he hoped was a noncommittal sound.
“Really, Koki. Besides, I think you should practice sneaking into places; it’s really fun.” Junno got quiet, and held a hand up to signal Koki to stop. “We’re almost there. You should be as quiet as you can; General is always on alert.”
"Okay," Koki whispered, hands on Junno's hips as they peeked around the corner. Yucchi's door was ajar. Junno turned slightly, one finger over his lips as he made some sort of slow flapping motion with his free hand. Koki guessed that it meant they should carefully creep down the hallway.
Junno gesticulated some more, pulling at Koki's arm. "You go first," he mouthed, or at least that's what Koki thought he'd said. Koki crept forward, the plush carpet running down the center of the hall muffling his boot heels. It was a little nerve-wracking, even though he was in his own house, and not really in danger. A pirate's life was exciting, though.
Koki had reached the door, and Junno had just joined him. They could hear the faint rustle of parchment; it seemed Yucchi was hard at work. This time Koki held a finger to his lips to shush Junno before dropping to his hands and knees. The door was open just wide enough for him to crawl in, and hopefully all the way to the desk.
Junno swatted at Koki, unable to keep from taking a firm grasp on Koki's ass once he'd gotten into sneaking position. Koki whipped his head around, glaring and mouthing "Later!"
That cowed Junno for the moment and he let go of his handful, crouching down to follow Koki into the room. The papers still rustled, Yucchi's pen still scratched, and Koki and Junno had made it to the desk. They hadn't been noticed, and Koki nodded to Junno as he held up three fingers. He silently counted down, and the two of them popped up.
Yucchi was staring at them placidly, hands folded together. He was completely unruffled, and Koki couldn't help pouting. "Yucchi," he whined, cut off abruptly when Yucchi raised one hand.
"You really need to work on your espionage skills, Koki."
"But--"
"Just tell me what you want. And also why you two are dressed like that." Yucchi seemed to be fighting the urge to smirk.
Koki and Junno both started speaking.
"We're swashbuckling, Yucchi!"
"I'm a wench!"
Koki placed one hand over Junno's mouth so he could keep talking. Junno licked the palm of his hand, but it would take more than that to deter Koki. "Can we borrow your eyepatch? Or do you have any spares, Yucchi?"
"No."
"Really?" Koki could have sworn he'd seen Yucchi wearing different ones before. Junno had gone still, and when Koki glanced over at him, he seemed to be much more interested in the grain of the mahogany desk. Suspicious.
"My best one seems to have gone missing. The one with the ring of gold around a tiny ruby. The one that specifically matched my dress uniform."
Oh. That explained Junno's sudden shiftiness. "If I find it, could we borrow it? And then bring it back?"
Yucchi pursed his lips, deep in thought. Koki grinned, hopefully winningly, and Junno started trying to squirm out of his hold. He shook his head, finally conceding. "Fine. Just, no weapons during any of your adventuring. Go on, now."
Koki and Junno scrambled up and out of the room, pausing at the end of the hall. "Where is it, Junno?!"
Junno remained silent, and still looked everywhere but at Koki.
"Come on, Junno!" Koki was getting a bit whiny. He wanted to actually play. "It can be the treasure we're searching for, you can draw us a map and everything~"
"Well, okay," Junno mumbled. "I didn't think he'd noticed it had gone missing."
They returned to Koki's room, where Junno went straight for the writing desk. Koki flopped onto the loveseat and waited, closing his eyes for a rest. He actually managed a good catnap; he was awoken by Junno gently shaking his shoulder. A piece of parchment was under his nose, and Koki could practically feel his eyes crossing as he tried to focus on it.
Koki pushed it away a bit, blinking. Junno had drawn a pretty accurate map of the house, a dotted line meandering from Koki's room to the parlour downstairs, then back upstairs to his father's old study, and finally ended in the attic. An 'X' marked the spot, as well as an unsettling drawing of bats.
"There aren't really bats up there? Right?" Bats kind of creeped Koki right out.
"Nah, they just add to the ambiance. It would be a little silly to have drawn sea monsters when we're clearly on land." Junno punctuated his sentence with an incredulous look, as if Koki were the crazy one.
Koki got up, aided by Junno tugging at his arms. Junno held on to one of his hands, pulling him along; it took Koki a few moments to catch up to his stride. "Slow down, Junno. I'm the captain, so I lead."
Junno pouted a little, but he slowed down. Koki puffed out his chest and looped his arm with Junno's, ignoring the strange looks they garnered from the staff. Map in hand, Koki headed straight for the attic. He wanted to take the most efficient route to the treasure.
They ducked behind the tapestry at the top of the landing in the main hall. The door hidden there had always been covered by some sort of textile; Koki supposed it just looked nicer that way. The stairs here were sort of cramped and dark. None of his forebears had bothered with providing any light other than the little amount that dripped in from the gabled windows. Even without bats, it was creepy up there, the light grey and insipid. Koki might have clutched onto Junno's arm after punching him in it for dragging his metal fingers along the wall.
"Okay," Junno whispered, "I know exactly where it's buried." Koki nodded and let go of Junno's arm so he could lead them to the treasure. He ignored all of the shadows and signs that Junno frequently spent time here. Junno seemed to pick up on his unease, his real hand warm as he squeezed Koki's fingers. "Don't worry, Koki. I never holed up here when I was searching for the MAFSKY blueprints. Too cold."
It wasn't very reassuring, though Koki knew that that was exactly how Junno meant it. Finally they drew close to the farthest corner of the attic. Boxes had been arranged to form walls, separating the alcove from the rest of the echoing room. Junno had pulled broken bits of furniture into the corner, turning it into a sort of hideout. It was actually kind of neat, Koki thought, very bandit chic.
"This is cool, Junno." Koki was kind of awestruck. "We could totally have this turned into a proper room, if you wanted."
Junno hummed, a pleased little noise as he moved smaller boxes around. He stopped pawing through the flotsam, and crowed triumphantly. "Ha! Got it."
He turned around, gathering up both of Koki’s hands in his, and very carefully, as if it were the most fragile treasure, placed the eyepatch in them. Both of them peered down at it; in the dim light from the window, they could tell that it really did have a ring of gold pressed into it. The ruby in the center flashed dull red and gave the impression of a fierce eye.
“How did you think Yucchi would not notice this was gone?” Koki asked. Junno sort of shrugged, face carefully neutral.
“I thought it was a good idea at the time.”
Koki rolled his eyes exasperatedly. Junno picked it up by the leather straps, holding it up. “Try it, Koki. I wanna see how it looks!”
Koki took the eyepatch back from Junno, leery of letting him "assist" in his enthusiasm. It was kind of cool, except for his depth perception being sort of thrown off. He wondered what it was like for Yucchi all the time though. "Hey," Koki said. The thought had just occurred to him. "How did Yucchi get his eyepatch?"
Junno shrugged. It looked like he'd never much thought about it either. Maybe later Koki could ask. For now, though, they'd found the treasure, so they could get on with more piracy.
"What else would pirates do?" Koki mused. "Other than stand around in their lair?"
A bolt of inspiration struck when Junno smirked a bit and lifted his skirts just a little. Koki had to give him points for trying to be subtle. "How about we go back downstairs? This room is cool, but I like the sheets on my bed more."
"Yes, let's," Junno replied. This time he practically dragged Koki the entire way back to the bedroom. That was okay, though, because Koki wasn't so sure he could safely navigate stairs while wearing Yucchi's eyepatch.
Once they were back in Koki's room, Junno let him go and stood back. He took it as a sign that he still got to be in charge, captain status and all, and led Junno to the bed, their hands entwined. Before they properly got started, though, Koki nudged Junno, waiting for him to peel the satin dress off. Everything else could get mussed, regardless of what Koki had said earlier.
Dress safely draped across the couch, Koki playfully shoved Junno onto the bed. He clambered up onto him, pressing biting little kisses along Junno's neck and collarbones, the thin straps of his camisole pushed aside. They rolled around on top of the sheets, tugging at each other's clothes just enough to free themselves. Koki's trousers were undone, shirt, vest, and sash lost in the scuffle; Junno had lost his shorts and his camisole ended up bunched up under his armpits, and his stockings were still stubbornly in place.
Koki sat up, straddling Junno's hips. He smirked down at him, his hands pinning Junno's wrists. "Stay still for me." When it looked like Junno was going to protest, he added, "Captain's orders, or I'll have you flogged for mutiny."
"Yes sir," Junno breathed, wriggling one last second before ceasing his movements. Their tussle had left him a little breathless, cheeks flushed and lips bitten red. Koki shuffled backwards, letting go of Junno's wrists and nosing against his stomach. He bit one hipbone, hard, then licked the spot in an apology of sorts before dragging his lips to Junno’s cock.
Koki barely flicked his tongue against the tip, and then he pulled away. That got a pained look from Junno, but Koki ignored it in favor of rummaging in his nightstand drawer. “We’ll be needing this, I’d say.”
That quietened Junno, and Koki gleefully returned to his self-appointed task, slicking his fingers and slipping them between Junno’s legs. He leaned down again, lightly sucking on the head and pressing one finger in. Koki almost didn’t expect the way Junno bucked his hips up in surprise; he chuckled around his mouthful a bit before properly sucking, cheeks hollowing as he began working his fingers in and out of Junno.
“Koki,” Junno whined. “Koki. Hurry.”
That was all the encouragement he needed to pull his fingers away; Koki slicked himself as quickly as he could manage, and then lined up with Junno’s entrance. Junno wrapped one leg around Koki’s waist and nodded. He surged forward, breath catching in his throat at the tightness; Koki had to pause and remember how to breathe before he continued.
Junno’s metal fingers scraped down his back, surprising Koki and urging him to move. He started slow, Junno’s touch along his skin matching his speed and barely there. As Koki sped up, the fingers did too; soon they were dragging angry red welts into Koki’s back, but he was unable to focus on that. Junno was too warm around him, too tight, too much.
Koki knew he was getting close, and that Junno was too, if his steadily increasing cries were any indication. He reached for Junno’s free hand shakily, wrapping them both around his cock and stroking roughly. Between their efforts, Junno finished quickly, wailing as his orgasm took him by surprise. His eyes fluttered shut, mouth open as he stilled, muscles pulling Koki over the edge and milking him dry.
Koki slowly came back to himself and the sticky mess they’d made. He was sprawled out on Junno, still inside him, and a gentle poking at his back drew his attention again.
“Captain, may we have a bath? Together?” Junno looked deliciously wrecked, and Koki grinned up at him.
“Permission granted.” Koki’s arms-- even the rest of himself-- felt wobbly as he pushed himself up. Somehow they both made it to the bathroom and managed to peel themselves out of their remaining clothes.
The two of them were nearly asleep in the steadily cooling water when a sharp rap at the door startled them. Yucchi stood there, smirking down at them.
“Koki,” he murmured, “I believe you’ve got something of mine. A treasure, if you will.”
He strode further into the bathroom, delicately stroking fingers down Koki’s cheek. “Though you do look dashing, I don’t think this look suits you.” Yucchi pulled his eyepatch away from Koki and pressed a kiss above his eyebrow before pocketing it. “Thank you both for finding this for me, but the next time it goes missing there will be floggings.”
Koki nodded, shuddering at the thought of being hung by his wrists to endure such a punishment. Junno only seemed excited at the prospect; Yucchi gave them both a fond smile and left.
“Report to my quarters at your leisure, both of you.”
Koki splashed himself and Junno in the face when he saluted, sparking a water fight. They stilled when Yucchi added, “Perhaps Captain Koki should be prepared for a run-in with the Emperor’s forces.”
