2012!
Wow. Has it really been 10 months since I have posted to my lj?? I always forget about it!
Anyways, this year has been good so far! Had a good time at the various conventions thus far, and I am anxiously awaiting my first Dragon*Con and return to Anime Weekend Atlanta in the next couple months. I have several new costumes in the works, (one that is being commissioned) and I am quite pleased with my cosplay lineup.
I embarked on a new fitness and healthier lifestyle earlier this year after gaining some weight back. Over the last several months I have learned that I really enjoy lifting weights and strength training. It is quite fulfilling for me. While I am not as "skinny" as I was this time last year, I am definitely more solid and firm and much stronger! I hope to reach my goal weight/measurements in the next few months and then I can focus on muscle definition!
I have also decided that it is time to clean up some other aspects of my life.
1. I think that I am going to remove some people from my circle of friends who have been long time friends/acquaintances, because we seem to have just grown apart over the years. I get tired of being the only one to make an effort to keep said friendships going, and I'm done being put on the back burner and lied to. I'm a good, loyal, honest friend and I deserve better than that.
2. I've said it before, but it's actually happening this time. I am finally going back to school. My husband is joining the police academy in September and his testing and training starts then. His classes will start in January. I am very
Proud of him and he has definitely inspired me to try to reach forum goal of getting my degree!
3. I have been working on my house a LOT lately in order to prepare it for sale. I can't wait to sell it and move. I have been giving a lot of thought to moving to Colorado or Georgia. There's nothing really keeping me here anymore, and my husband wants to move out of STL for a while too, so it would be a good time to make that change.
In general, everything is going well. Heather has established herself in a good relationship with Tim, which makes me very happy for her. I made some new friends over the last few months, and I look forward to making many more and moving on with my life. :)
