Had a nice visit to the hospital last night. Aiden went from being extremely active every single day all day to just about nothing yesterday. I was so worried. I waited till later in the day to call though. Luckily Dr. Swanbeck was on call and he told me to go ahead to the labor and delivery triage to get hooked up to the monitor.
So I left at about 825 and picked my mom up from work so she could go too (she was 5 mins from the hospital)I got there at about 900 ish I believe. I didn't leave till 1130.
I originally came there to see what aiden was up to, which I thought meant a sonogram, but really it's just a monitoring system that has two straps. One goes around the belly near the lower part and one near the upper. The lower measures the babies heart beat and the upper measures to see if I am having contractions. Which I was... oddly. She said there were a bit more than she'd like to see. She could tell I was dehydrated and said that could be the problem. So I got hooked up to an IV (which hurt soooo bad compared to the last one I had), and got two bags. I got a blanket because she put them on at 100% and gave me a blanket because it got really cold really fast.
But the contractions didn't slow. So she gave me this medicine (normally used for people with asthma) it's supposed to relax some muscles in the lungs but it also does in the uterus, so yeah. She told me, the needle won't hurt but the medicine will. Boy was that a surprise. It didn't go into my vein and it went into my upper arm. It felt like a wildfire spread out under my skin. She told me some people get jittery.. Next thing I know my whole chest and shoulders were jittery and my heart was pounding. Luckily though the contractions stopped completely. It was crazy. Aiden did however start moving because apparently babies don't like the soundwaves. I asked why and she said it was because it's like the equivalent to tapping on a fish cage and scaring the fish. I didn't really like that, but it felt really good to feel him move. However his heart beat seemed awefully fast for a long while. Ranging up to 180 ish which is rediculous.
Anyway I was outta there. I have to make sure to drink a gallon a day or else I could become dehydrated specially in the hotter months.
Let's hope aiden decides to become more active.
And luckily I have a doctors appointment today at 4:15 that was made two weeks ago. Maybe I will learn my real due date and see if I am really 30 weeks today.
I got a list from the hospital too I have to abide by to make sure the contractions don't come back T_T
