It took me a while to decide this was necessary, but since my Livejournal/Dreamwidth handle is the same as my current official website and email address (both present on my business card), it seems like a potentially bad idea to publicly discuss some of the things that go through my mind. I totally get it. I use FB for minor daily complaints, games and the occasional sharing of news stories (which is apparently enough to offend people as it is.

My LJ is where I really let my feelings flow. I do not censor myself since only a handful of people (no actual family) view it.

I was a lot more open on Facebook, even, until I got chewed out for not being the happiest new mother that's never existed. Then I got chewed out for daring to suggest that maybe not everyone can do all the activism at once (so maybe it's okay to start small, because at least it's a start). So now I try to keep my complaints purely on the physical level, and mostly act like my life is the most perfect thing you've ever seen, and I have no political or social opinions at all. Which is stupid, vapid and stifling.

Both people removed themselves from my life, so in my less-vulnerable moments I'm okay with it. But my in-laws are on Facebook, and ex-coworkers who still work for the company that Scott works for, and...it's just more prudent to stay light and avoid making waves.
