A couple days ago I went to a firing range and shot a gun for the very first time. It was a SIG Sauer P226 9mm. It was really exciting! I didn't really know why people would enjoy firing guns-- but now I know! It's a mixture of several things-- the goal of hitting the center of the target, the control and concentration, and stress relief. I'm definately not going to turn into a huge pro-gun advocate, but I must say that I really enjoyed it.
Even though it was my first time to shoot, I did a lot better than some of the guys there, even when my target was quite far if not farther than theirs!
There I am after my first 10 rounds. Not bad eh?
