|+| Met up with stephen_poon, and systema and friends in Evanston today to hear William Gibson talk. He was an interesting guy and I got Pattern Recognition signed for my brother. We also went into a comics shop where I purchased my first Western comic book since probably 1995, though it was offset by caving to two volumes of manga as well.
|+| I finally started playing Twilight Princess (on the Wii). We were trying to find a way to entertain my great aunt; apparently she'd seen someone's kid demo his Wii but we were having trouble convincing her it did anything other than sports games. Midna is cool; it tripped my "cosplay sensor" and I wanted to look for pics but I found out there's a sexy version . . . lol, I dunno, sexy versions sort of turn me off. :P I like weird imp things better I guess. She's still cool. Link's village outfit is really cute, too. Anyway the game is fun.
|+| Speaking of cosplay . . . I sort of feel like I ought to update c.com/Cosplay Lab/ACP, which I haven't touched in ages . . . ahh, something I've been doing for what, four years? And I'm really not sure what I've actually accomplished. But if it's just a question of having it up for myself, I have my website . . . updating anywhere else would be for other people, and I think that would have to be prefaced with believing it made any difference to said unknown people. Hmm.
|+| I made peanut butter bars the other night. I never take photos when I bake, since it seems like the point is eating it, but it came out rather pretty this time.
I will gladly pass on the recipe, it's from a cookbook but I also altered it some, if anyone wants it? They're sort of like a denser brownie with a chocolate top (it's melty in this picture but it sets up hard).
