I finally decided (I think) what jrock cosplay I want to do next. Sort of. I picked a *band* rofl.
My problem is that I'm sort of pulled in a lot of directions because there are a lot of bands I'm starting to get into right now . . . so I put music first, and then costume design second (I have to be able to get the supplies and I am so not wearing booty shorts), and I picked Nightmare. I've been listening to "Flora" and "Traumerei" in particular again and again and again. So yes, I know their music; no, I don't really know them. I'll learn. I don't believe in the idea of "bandwagoning" because a) I respect other people's opinions but I don't think my taste it that influenced by them and b) I disagree with the fundamental concept that popular = bad and consider it completely bassackwards (not to mention illogical).
As far as picking what outfit or which member, though . . . x_x; I probably haven't got any of the right magazines for the refs either, I need to go back through my collection. I have to get on it right away too because I'm tight on time. If any of the "experienced" fans on here would like to . . . share their wise opinions? you know I'd appreciate it.
So yes, that means I've had to put poor Abel on the back burner again. Two and a half reasons - time, money, and weather. Sorry,
maplecroix; it will happen, just not right now. You had better believe I will be harassing you guys for HUGE NUMBERS of photos of your group. I'd love to do a proper shoot with you (as proper as I can manage, anyway) if you have time and inclination.
I'm not apologetic for having cosplay low on my priority list lately. Aside from the "have tos", I've been trying to pay more attention to my creative life; making small updates to my personal site, taking time to sew something pointless, and drawing again.
Jello makes a "White Grape Sparkling" version Jello, which you mix seltzer into to get a . . . well, carbonated Jello. If you do it right it traps the bubbles in the gelatin and it sort of tingles when you eat it. It occurred to me some time ago to wonder if you could do this with ANY carbonated beverage. So, for Thanksgiving (yes I was the only one who ate it), I made . . . LIVEWIRE JELLO.
Yes, I know it's not that brilliant; people have been making Jello shots for ages. Bu this may well be the only carbonated AND caffeinated Jello ever made. Admittedly it's not VERY caffeinated because it's only about 3/4 of a can for the whole batch. It does taste a little odd, since it's mixed with the grape flavor, but it's not a bad combo.
Also, I have for you random plush, though those of you on the doll journal have already seen it.
My doodle . . .
He's very small, I should have put a coin in or something, but that's a regular thread spool behind him. So uhh . . . around four inches?
I was going to post some serious things but . . . eh.
BTW, before I forget again -
trekkieb47, I have Roger's clothes. Would have been sooner but I had to get buttons. How shall we unite naked Roger and his things?
