Author’s Notes: a valentine's gift from me to my beloved shrimp, since I can't personally give him chocolate this valentine's i made this for him...^_^V aishiteru yo!
Summary: Hideki Aya likes this guy named Ueda Ryosuke, and she decided to give him a chocolate for Valentine's day, what will she find out?
It was February the 13th and Aya's busy buying for the ingredients of the chocolate she'll make. But the chocolate she'll make was not like any other chocolates being given every valentine's. She'll make a white one. After buying everything she needed, she quickly went home and started cooking. Three hours passed and she's almost done, all she needed to do was to wait for the white chocolate to solidify.
"There, after this I'll make sure Ueda-kun will be eating you," she said as she placed the molder in the freezer.
Outside her house, Ueda Ryosuke or mostly known as Ryo was passing by and saw Aya holding the chocolate molder and placing it in the freezer through the window of her house then he asked himself, "I wonder who's that for?"
The next day 14th of February, Aya was excited when she woke up. She looked at her Ipod's clock and it said 5:30am. She wanted to go to school early so she can give the white chocolates to Ryo right away. She got up from her bed, fixed it and ran down to the kitchen where she saw her mom almost eating her chocolates.
"DON'T!!!" she shouted.
"Ah, Aya, ohayou," her mom placed the chocolate back to the molder.
"That's for someone else," she quickly grabbed the molder.
"Sou ka, gomen ne, I don't know, hehe," her mom could just chuckled.
Aya quickly placed the chocolates in a red pouch and sealed it with a golden ribbon, "There, I swear I'm gonna kill anyone who'll eat this,"
"Kowaii yo," her mom uttered.
"I'll be taking a bath now, I need to go to school really early today,"
Aya ran up to their bathroom. It took her fifteen minutes to finish and after taking a bath she bow dried her hair. She can't go out with her hair wet or else it'll freeze, it's the middle of winter though but it's almost finished. after blow drying her hair she put on her school uniform and wrapped her favorite scarf around her neck, placed her phone and Ipod in her pocket, checked her bag if everything's there. Everything's ready, except for the chocolate, she haven't put it in her bag yet. She looked at the clock, it's 6:00am. So she ran down to the kitchen and quickly ate the toasted bread her mom made. After eating she put the chocolate in her bag then left for school.
Aya waited at the school gate when she arrived. Yes, Ryo's her classmate but she REALLY REALLY wanted to give it to him right away. Fifteen minutes passed ans some students were finally arriving, she saw lots of the girls carrying pouches or boxes. There was still no sign of Ryo. Then she heard some of the students talking about him.
"Ne, is Ueda-kun already here?" one of the girls asked another girl also waiting for Ryo to arrive.
"Not yet, I'm also waiting for him," the girl being asked answered.
Aya turned around and saw like thirty girls also waiting there, "Damn, competition is very high,"
"How about Yoshida-kun and his friends?" another girl asked.
"Eeto, not yet,"
Then they saw four students walking towards their direction, they were Yoshida, Takasugi, Irie and Kusaka, they were also campus heartthrobs just like Ryo. But Ryo's different with those four, Ryo's a loner and doesn't have really close friends. The girls kyaaa-ed when the four reached the school.
"Takasugi-kun please accept this, I made this with all my heart!" one of the girls offered a box of chocolate.
Takasugi smiled, "Arigatou," he loved the attention.
Then other girls also approached him, while the others were also mobbing over the other three. Yoshida noticed his classmate Aya was not moving from her spot so he approached her, "Hideki-san, ohayou,"
"Ohayou," Aya greeted him back.
"Whose that for?" Yoshida looked at the red pouch Aya was holding.
Aya looked at it as well, "Ueda-kun,"
Yoshida chuckled, "I'm pretty sure he won't accept it,"
"Why did you say so?"
"Cause he never accepted any chocolates from anyone, is this your first time making one for him?"
Aya nodded, "I'm really shy and don't have any courage talking to him... but this year I decided to make him one,"
"If he won't accept it until the end of this day, just give it to me ne? It'll be just a waste if no one's gonna eat it,"
"OK, fine with me, only if he won't accept it,"
Yoshida smiled and left, he followed the others in their school. Then Aya heard the girls scream again, "Ueda-kun!!!"
Aya looked up and saw Ryo coming with his left hand on his shoulder holding his bag while his right hand was in his pocket, the girls quickly approached him and tried to give him chocolates.
"I can do this, OSU!" Aya cheered herself and pushed her way to Ryo.
When she's finally in front of Ryo she extended her had and tried to hand him the pouch, "Ueda-kun, please accept this,"
Ryo stopped walking when Aya blocked her way and looked at the pouch she was holding. Ryo took his hand out of his pocket and slowly extended it, but instead of taking the pouch, he placed his hand on Aya's shoulder, tapped it three times and passed by her.
"I just hope she got the message," Ryo thought and sighed, his message was, meet me later that's why he tapped her shoulder three times.
But it seemed like Aya didn't get the right message and she's currently wondering why Ryo tapped her shoulder three times, was it maybe he's wishing her good luck or something else? And this made her more determined to give it to Ryo, plus she doesn't want her chocolate be eaten by other people besides Ryo.
During their classes, Aya was thinking very deep in how to make Ryo accept her chocolate. She kept stealing glances on the boy who's currently not listening to their lessons and was just looking outside the window. Yoshida's sitting beside Ryo. Then Yoshida whispered something to Ryo, "Ne Ryo-kun, have you accepted any chocolates from any girls?"
Ryo looked at him and shook his head, that's his usual way of communicating to others, either shrug his shoulder, nod or shake his head. He'll only speak when he really needed to.
"Are you planning to accept anything even just one?" Yoshida asked again.
It took time for Ryo to respond, but then he shrug his shoulder saying either maybe, probably or he doesn't know.
"Sou ka,"
At their lunch break, Aya looked for Ryo. She knew that Ryo's eating alone so she went somewhere that there was not much people. She went up to the roof top but when she arrived there, many girls were trying to give Ryo their chocolates but Ryo was just ignoring them and kept on eating his onigiri. Aya approached the boy, "Anou... Ueda-kun,"
Ryo stopped eating and looked up to her and also the other girls were looking at Aya cause it was the only time Ryo stopped eating and turned his attention to someone, "Nani?" he asked the girl.
"KYAAAAAAAAAAA~~~~" the girls flailed and Aya blushed. It's really rare for them to hear Ryo's voice.
"Eeto... please accept this," Aya bowed and extended her hand to Ryo while holding the pouch.
Ryo sighed and packed his lunch, he stood up and placed his hand again on Aya's shoulder then he tapped it again three times. Then he left the girls there at the rooftop. The other girls were confused why Ryo acted that way towards Aya.
"Ne, Hideki, are you keeping a secret from us?" Aoki Amaya, one of their classmates asked her, "Is there something between you and Ueda-kun?"
"N-nai desu," Aya quickly responded, well she's also confused with what Ryo's acting.
The other girls surrounded her and looked at her suspiciously, "Are you sure?"
"I am, I'm not lying... nothing's between us," Aya starting to get nervous. She's no match against the quantity of girls surrounding her.
"Hey!" a voice called their attention.
They all looked at the direction of the door and Irie was standing there, "Irie-kun!!!" the girls squealed except for Aya of course.
"Leave her alone, she's not doing anything wrong!" Irie angrily ordered the girls harassing Aya.
"Hai! Gomenasai!" all of the girls bowed to Irie for an apology.
Before leaving Amaya whispered something to Aya, "I'll get you back, be ready for that, you're lucky Irie-kun saved you," then she left.
Irie approached Aya, he ruffled the girl's hair and smiled, "Genki desu ka?"
Aya nodded, "Nn... thanks for saving me there," she bowed.
"Daijoubu, I just don't want anyone being bullied, see you at class ne, by the way, make sure Ryo-kun will be able to eat your chocolate ok? Gambatte," Irie bid and left
When Aya was back to the classroom, she saw that Ryo's desk was stuffed with lots of chocolates, but what surprised her was, when Ryo picked them up he started giving the chocolates to their classmates.
After school, Aya decided to stalk Ryo on his way home. Of course Ryo knew that Aya's following her. He's just letting her follow him for a cause or something. Ryo stopped walking and Aya quickly hid herself behind a post. He's talking something from his pocket, keys.
"So this is his house? Is he living there alone?" Aya thought.
Ryo's house was a two-story house, it looked like a typical modern Japanese house but it's obvious that it's way more extravagant than the others. Ryo opened the gate but didn't go in then he looked at Aya's direction and said, "Come out now, I know you're there,"
"Yabai..." Aya thought, she had no choice, so she slowly showed herself to Ryo.
"Can you come here?"
"H-hai..." so Aya walked towards him.
Ryo looked at the pouch Aya was holding and asked, "You have something for me right?"
Aya sure was nervous that time, it was her first time talking Ryo of course though they were classmates since Junior High School, "H-hai, here..." she handed the pouch, "it's white,"
"White?"
"Yeah, white chocolate, I noticed that you only buy white chocolate and never bought those brown ones so assumed that you don't like sweets,"
Ryo took the pouched and opened it, yes they were white chocolates, with variety of shapes, like letters but mostly were heart-shaped and he noticed that the letters were only R, Y and O. He smiled, "Are you stalking me? How did you know that? I only buy white chocolates after school,"
"Eeto... kind of... I was just curious what kind of chocolate you'll like so I stalked you last month, sorry,"
Ryo took one and ate it, "I like it, thanks, it's not too sweet but I can definitely taste the sweetness within it,"
"H-hontou ni?!" Aya happily responded, "I'm so happy,"
"I've been wondering to whom you'll give this since last night, cause I was passing by your house and saw you making this, and when you approached me this morning and tried to give it to me I was happy," Ryo shared.
"B-but... why didn't you accept it?"
"I just don't want them to see to whom will I only accept a chocolate from, I'm kind of shy you know, I don't want people to know lots about me,"
Aya was speechless.
"And besides, another reason I wasn't accepting any chocolates from other girls is, I've been waiting something from you,"
"Me?"
Ryo nodded, "I've been watching you since Junior High Hideki, there's this bond that's making me so attached to you,"
Aya blushed, "W-what do you mean?"
"What I'm saying is, I really like you, but I don't know how to say it,"
"N-nani?!" Aya of course heard it clearly but she couldn't believe what she heard.
Ryo slowly embraced Aya and leaned his chin on her head, he chuckled, "You're so small that I can easily lean my chin on your head,"
Aya pouted, "Meanie,"
"Don't worry, I like it, by the way, you won't mind me courting you right?"
"C-court me? N-nande?"
"Cause I like you, I know you like me as well, but I'll court you until you say it to me who knows, what you might tell me is you love me right?"
Aya blushed like crazy, her heart's pounding like there's no tomorrow and she knew that Ryo could feel that. She wanted to let go but Ryo's holding her too tight.
"From now on, call me Ryo, only Ryo, ok? That way, they'll know who's the only person can call me that, and I'll call you Aya,"
Aya didn't answer but instead, she nodded.
