Flying in dreams and what it leads to=)
it all started with a series of dreams in which I had flown. swam in the air, actually, but who cares.
Thing is, originally, in all my dreams where I was a magician, when time to act came I suddenly recalled that I'm an impostor, and I don't know any incntations or magic. at all.
So I got obsessed with idea that it would be super cool to be able to at least fly in ANY dream.
I concentrated on that a lot, and after some time it worked. Instead of recalling being an impostor, I recalled I could fly=)
There was an unexpected outcome, though.
You know that famous theory: "The life is only a realistic dream" or "you can never tell whether you are actually sleeping", which sounds like a rather cute, pretensious shit. But alas, the concept is beautiful.
It seems that i digress, but I'm not actually. Because one night i experienced what is called *concious dream*, and now the above statements doesn't sound as gibberish. That dream had smells, touch, sound, colour, everything. The ways it differs from reality are:
*I knew exactly where in space my body was, and how it felt. -i knew it was a dream then
*I could fly
And that's all. If I couldn't feel my body, I probably couldn't tell the difference, which is scary to be honest.
It's never happened since. The additional perk which persisted after this experience is the ability to leave the dream if it gets unpleasant -- a rather useful skill in periods of depression, I must say.
So what is the point of realistic dreams? According to some traditions, it serves to learn to stay yourself regardless of the situation you are in.
Taking responsibility for such thing is too bothersome, so I stopped developing.
I still enjoy dreams immensely as they are(*-*)
What do you think of dreams in general?
Have you ever had such experience? Do you think it's a blatant lie? Do you hate reading in english? (should I switch to ukrainian or you don't care about this bollocks in any language?)
