A Little Too Late
Yuya and Yamapi both grew up together and became best of friends. They became very close to each other to the point that they both promised that they would never get separated from one another.
Years have passed. Many things had happen.
Yamapi decided to get married with his long time girlfriend. He invited Yuya to come and insisted him to be his best man but his best friend declined and said he has to work overtime that day.
The wedding went out great but not for Yamapi. He was hoping his best friend to come on this day, a day that is supposedly one of the most memorable days of his life.
Just after the wedding, Yuya texted his buddy:
“Ne, Yamapi,. Sorry for not attending your wedding. I just couldn’t bear to see you getting married to some else. :’(
I want you to know that I LOVE YOU SO MUCH… if only we’re not both boys… :’(
Anways, Omedetou! Hope happiness and prosperity for you and your wife.”
Yamapi read the message. He couldn’t help himself; his tears poured out from his eyes.
“Why only now?” He asked himself as he hits the wall with his fist.
Meanwhile, in his apartment, Miserable Yuya, who was drinking almost a dozen bottle of heavy beer while sitting on his counch, heard his phone rang. He received a message. It was from Yamapi. His bestfriend replied:
“Oi Tesshi! If only you have said that earlier, I would definitely fight for our love.”
Yuya was surprise with his best friend’s reply. He drop his phone, kneeled on the floor and started crying in despair.
Both of them cried their heart out, trying to be miserable as they can be. They regret throwing the chances they had to convey their feelings for each other. And now, they’re love for each other can’t go on. For them, everything was too late.
