Seven--wow! I really think these will be some of the finest shows of the tour, since they've had the break and know how long fans have been waiting for them to make it to that part of the world. I just hope they don't blow it by playing too many ATYCLB songs. I'm glad to hear they've been rehearsing Kite, as that's one of the few songs on the album I truly like, but I'd rather see them dig into the back catalogue. Out of Control in a stadium would be mind boggling, and they really need to play One Tree Hill again. I saw them once on the first leg and they were good, but I couldn't believe how much better they were on the third leg--so much more energy, and they seemed to be having more fun.

All the stupidity surrounding the book signing invites was what did me in. Some fans have such a sense of entitlement, and when I wanted nothing more than to reach through my computer and choke one person (I won't drop her name...), I realized some time away from Interference was probably a good thing. I may try to drag myself out of bed for a setlist party at some point, though!

Bono didn't invent singing? OMG WTF! Oh wait, that's right. On the seventh day he looked at all that he'd made and realized they were good and rested... There was a post on a Bono community on here a few weeks ago talking about how great Bono is and that nobody should ever make fun of him and I just couldn't stop laughing.

I was originally only intending to do three shows, five at most, but then it swelled into seven. Now I'm glad I'm seeing that many, after all the fun I had at the rehearsal last night. We waited for hours and we got really wet, but damn, SO WORTH IT. I agree on the ATYCLB songs matter, though with qualifiers, heh. The new version of Kite is absolutely beautiful and Walk On is a favourite guilty pleasure of mine, and I really get into Beautiful Day and, yes, Elevation live (though I wouldn't miss either if they were cut), but we really don't need Stuck In A Moment. I really hope we aren't going to miss out on the Boy stuff. I would even be happy with I Will Follow just because I haven't heard it live yet. And I'm going to be so nervous before the Auckland shows, desperately hoping for One Tree Hill.

Oh, I didn't even bother looking at the threads about book signings. I barely even knew they were happening. I guess the whole thing just didn't concern me much and I didn't think the threads would explode! I take it there were some really petty posts being thrown around then? And I don't suppose the unnamed person is Jamila? ;)

I hope we can have some good setlist parties. The problem is, it looks like the audio feeds may not be happening, or will only happen with great difficulty due to the prohibitive costs of calling Australian mobiles from Skype (20 cents a minute!). Hopefully we'll at least have texts. Well, either way, I'll be posting reports on U2VT as soon as the shows are done.

And are you denying that Bono is God? Clearly, you are an unworthy heathen and deserve to be cast out into the musical wilderness, where there is wailing and gnashing of teeth and Britney Spears dueting with Eminem!
