A real live bartender explained it to me: it's when, after buying a few drinks, the bartender "buys" one for you. It's really a good gimmick to keep people happy and drunk.

dude, where does it say "buyback" has anything to do with the bar, you have it completely out of context, i have no idea what you're referring to. i wasn't theeeeeeeeeere man.

for all i know the bartender said somethign random about buyback which had nothing to do with drinking - how am i supposed to get that from your journal post. fartknocker.
