Second Dynasty warriors fic ever attempted and it just had to be because of a cracky MSN convo.
Since it is best illustrated by said convo, it all started with this:
axtar: Wu men? Are all built for Mills and Boons
Cue discussion, contemplation, lots of laughter and headwalling until:

Open all 3 outer doors (the middle one has a bonus; Sun Li gives you extra life). If you want, you can also take out Cao Xiu; he's right in front of the left door; the first you'll open. You'll have to take out Wei Pin too, since he's near the door on the right.
Go back to the front then, take out two Xiahou liutenants (Wei and Huang, I think?) and Xu Huang. Then, using either the left or right route, make your way into the center (second layer). Near the front walls, there are two staircases; go up both and take out the two defense captains. Then eliminate Cao Ren (worth it; 8+ defense, along with Sima Yi, Jia Kui, Xin Pi *if the combo is high enough*).
At this point, these things might happen:
i) Zhen Ji might say something along the lines of 'Isn't it usually the princess who needs rescuing? RUN LIKE THE WIND TO THE LEFT SIDE THEN, because she is going to move extremely fast to kill Sun Quan (who is a wuss). She's going to be fairly powerful, so be careful.
ii) Sima Yi says 'Perfect wind yadda yadda' or something like that. Run to the RIGHT and take out the task captains and generals, or Sun Quan is going to constantly call for your help (which is a pain).
After that, everything is pretty much safe, I think - you can start taking things out at your own pace. A horse is 100% useful on this map for all the running, though if you have Speed Scroll 20 equipped on him, Lu Xun can outrun a normal horse. >D
(OMG, SO TL;DR)
*grins* I maxed out Lu Xun's stats and obtained his 4th weapon a week back; he takes some time to get used to though, since his 360 coverage of enemies isn't all that good.
