Yeah, so i know i don't write a lot on here, and its not for a lack of desire, it's a lack of follow thru and the fact that i'm no poet. I'm not blessed with a divine gift for the written word. That be damned. I wanna write and what are you to begrudge me of that! Yeah that's right, you! I see you there! Begrudging...
I'm not sure if any of you out there reading this ever watch that show about the couple with 50 or so little kids, John and Kate plus the weight of the world. I bring this up not out of some deep love of the series, but to make a point. The husband on that freak show, presumably named John, has had the joy of life crushed out of him by the unimaginable load that his swarm undoubtedly leaves in their diapers everyday. Because of this, he seems to be incapable of expressing gratitude for about anything on any occasion. Let me paint a picture,
Kate - Hey John, God, himself, has come down to bestow you with the answers to all of life's questions!!!
John - Ok...
Back on topic i go.In the same way, I often feel like I'm incapable of expressing a proper amount of gratitude and excitement that is warranted for the things that the people in my life do for me. It's not due to the fact that i have no joy in me, but every word feels heavy and awkward. Because of this i must make time to go back and find a way express to myself.
Today one of those times came up, I'm not sure if everyone has caught wind of this yet but chandler and amanda got engaged to be married recently. Well tonight Amanda and I went off to see a movie (The Strangers - skip it.), and chandler and jess hung out and watched the kid. When we got back from the movie , chandler got down on one knee and asked me the one question that every girl dreams of hearing from the man in her life, "Will you be my best man?" and gave me a ring. It was super cool, and even now i can't say all i should about how much that means to me. He's my best friend and she's one of the coolest ladies I've met in a long time and they are great for each other. Thank you so much guys, I'm honored.
Jess, every second that i don't remind you of that you are my reason to live, is just as much of an impropriety. I love you.
Finally, this weekend was Dave's b-day. That party was great. And it was fun hangin' with everyone there. I hope the game serves you well.
Goodnight.
