Finally wrapped up my revisions and edits of "Lavatorial Evanescence." Let's see if the slightly under-edited version I sent out to the "Strange Horizons" magazine gets accepted. I've read much better stories on their site, but I've also read much worse ones, so it's a toss-up as far as I'm concerned.
Finally took the biggest step towards finishing my second short story: I started it. The plan is to write it NaNoWriMoio style, with minimal editing, until the plot is fully unwound. Then editing will happen. "Lavatorial Evanescence" came out to just over 4500 words; this one, which I'm tentatively calling "Beasties" for now, will be much longer. Possibly novella-length. Same guys, plus a small supproting cast.
