It strikes me that I haven't posted anything in ages.
What's new in my life... well, I gave a stab at writing a short story, and I think it came out pretty well. It's total bullshit, with humor, and some toilet humor, and some magic realism, and lots of inside jokes that no one will get. I sent it off to "Weird Tales" magazine - when they reject it, I'll send it to several more places. If those places reject it, I'll send it to some mag that doesn't pay cashmoney. They take any old crap, usually.
For the past five days or so, have been sick with something suspiciously flu-like. I suspect it might be flu.
Spent the weekend translating Russian soap labels for a consulting firm in Chicago. (There's no making shit like this up, seriously.)
Stephen Fry surfaced on Facebook for a while; then BBC ran an article on his surfacing, and he quickly went under again. Pity.
In general, am starting to like Facebook a whole lot more than I used to. They're really stepping up the coding over there. It's overflowing with applications and what-not.
