Out with the Old & In with the New

It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.
--Alan Cohen

Moving on. Changing. Growing. Reliving. Starting over.
No matter how significant or trivial, all experiences lead to change within ourselves. These changes can either be beneficial or disadvantageous. The choice is yours. Whether we choose to stay with the familiar or not, a common emotion slips into our minds, bodies, and souls -- fear. Fear of losing our idenitity, forgetting loved ones, being alone, finding something better, ...just living.
All reasons why we fear to let go of what's known, routine. Some of us would rather deal with the constant bull than to learn from them. We hold onto what we believe is true, only to realize we were just too naive to know any better. Then, as each day passes by, we feel as though the experience itself has dulled our shine.
No excitement. No spontaneity. Just emotionally numb.

...don't do this to yourself. It's not worth it.
Life your life. Do whatever your heart desires. Don't let the past affect much of your future. Overcome the inevitable.
Be happy. Be genuinely happy.

No one ever said it would be easy.
But you never know until you try.

So don't be afraid to fall.
'Cause you might just learn to fly.
