We're loading up the U-Haul tomorrow to move down to the city Monday morning. And you'd think that, with this being my 20th move in 6 years, I would've known to start packing up our stuff before today. But, similar to my previous 19 moves, that's not the case

Here's how it's gonna be

Mark, Emily, Josh and I have decided come to Albany and help you move, whether you want us there or not. Emily will bake a pan of lasagna, which we will eat on paper plates amid boxes and clutter in the living room, snarling at each other as we take turns stealing a quickly diminishing container of parmesan cheese.

You will give me several old videos you do not want anymore, including another installment from the coveted Jean-Claude Van Damme Collection, the box of which I will post in kind in my bathroom to complement the one from "Double Impact" (which, incidentally, packs twice the excitement and double the Van Dammage!).

Afterward, snow or no snow, we will go swimming in your apartment's swimming pool at approximately 1 a.m. Then, after struggling to secure your car to the trailer behind the U-Haul in the middle of the rain, and an amusing attempt to get the extended vehicle turned around in a cul-de-sac, you will make a grand and dramatic exit from the capital of New York, riding off into the drizzly moonlight in your rented chariot that will probably boast a tacky illustration advertising some nowhere state like New Mexico on its side.
