My mom just called me up saying:
- her handbag got snatched today by a motorcyclist.
- she made a police report
- an hour later the bag was found, with everything intact minus the cash.
- thank God she's safe.

My mom thinks that the police and the snatch-theif could have 'pakat' or, worked together. The handbag was found an hour after she reported it to the police, which would either have to have been a miracle, or they knew where to find it. The idea of the police and theives working together might be absurd, but not totally out of the question. Stranger things have happened, and the police are corruptible (if they aren't already corrupted.) The economy is bad after all.

My mom a really religious Christian, and she made a comment that really irked me. Cash has been short lately, and she thinks she hasn't been tithing much. Therefore she feels that this was some sort of 'reminder' for her to do her duty. I don't have a bible right now to check wether tithing is a voluntary thing or not, but according to the dictionary it is voluntary. Which just doesn't sit well with me, for the reason that we are paying to have protection. But I guess its the same for most other religions, with sacrifices and offerings. Why should I think Christianity is any different?

On a half related note, I posted sometime ago that my brother got into a car crash in the summer. Or rather, a motorcyclist bang into his car, and smashed it pretty bad. The motorcylist and his passenger have hired a lawyer to sue my brother saying that he ran the red light, and the cop who arrived at the scene is their 'apparent' eyewitness. Now, my brother drives a Merz E 240, and from the angle and degree that the car was so smashed, there is no fucken' way that he ran that red light. The motorcyclist had to be speeding really fast to crash that hard! Either way, I hope this gets solved soon.

Problems after problems, fucking argggh!!! I can feel my world just crashing down on me... I really worry for my family.

on a completely unrelated note, i just found out my friend is dating a friend of vienna teng, who wrote the song 'gravity' for her. small world.
