As much as well all need each other, society would say we don't. This is a society where the individual is more important than the group. Everybody is in "it" for themselves. That's what America is these days. Maybe 30 years ago you could say neigbors had loyalty or companies have loyalty. But this day in age, that means nothing. Everyone is in it for themselves. Society will not realize that everyone needs eachother to live and prosper. This is just my opinion, but I think our society clearly illustrates the "ME ME ME" attitude. For example, nobody has a problem going to a grocery store and buying fruits, vegetables, diary and meat products. However, if lets say if the oranges in florida had a bad year, people would complain about the aid the government tries to give these poor souls. But as long as " ME ME ME" can get there orange juice, no one cares, and no one would care if the farmers got aid, as long as it didn't cost them anything. Hopefully this isn't to off target. United we stand. Not.
