Character Name: Optimus Prime
MacGuffin Codename: Optarus

Character Canon: Transformers: Animated
Canon Point: Season One, Post-Episode Fourteen "Nature Calls."

Character Appearance: Optimus looks essentially the same as he always has, as shown here. The armor upgrade sharpened some of the angles, but he still has the signature curves of the Malgian design. His wings are red with silver and retract into a red removable jetpack.

He also has ridiculously large lips. 3:

Residence: Jazz's Apartment, Zone Five
Source of Income: Part-time security work.

Shockwave Modifications: Optimus had an armor and weapons upgrade at Shattered Glass Optimus' request. His plating is denser than before, and he has flight modifications with retractable wings. He was also given a basic rifle, which was later confiscated during the TransTech weapons raid.

Shockwave also attempted to force IDW Optimus' Matrix into his chest by replacing several of his internal systems. The Matrix itself was wired directly into his vitals, making its removal fatal - And Optimus was eventually killed by that, when Dirge removed the artifact. Following his return, his internals were set back to their normal state.

Contraband: Optimus is in possession of the Magnus Hammer.

Memory Loss: Following his death at the hands of Dirge, Optimus lost his memory of the incidents surrounding the Soundwave in his own universe.

Game Events: Optimus has participated in the Shattered Glass, Body Swap, and Human events.

Character Name: Soundwave

Character Canon: Transformers IDW
Canon Point: Pre-All Hail Megatron; Shockwave has freed him after being locked in his cassette player alt mode for approximately fifty years, and he has rejoined Megatron's forces.

Character Appearance: When Soundwave arrived in the Nexus, he was still using his classic tapedeck form. However, since taking on the guise of one of the Nexus communicators, he looks a bit more like this. The glass tape bay is now represented by the communicator's video screen - Several of the other design features remain the same.

His alt mode looks like a standard communicator, provided upon arrival in Axiom Nexus. It just... happens to be blue. And may have a small Decepticon insignia on the back, if you're really looking for it.

Residence: The Hollow.
Source of Income: He sporadically works for a radio broadcasting company. He has the ability to generate false credits, and could likely get funding from Magnum if it were necessary.

Modifications: He changed his alt mode to one of the Nexus communication devices at Magnum's direction.

Shockwave Modifications: Shockwave removed Soundwave's ability to supress his emotional functions. As such, he has a difficult time keeping neutral and takes great efforts to keep his emotional responses hidden.

He's also been implanted with a bug, so that Shockwave can monitor Soundwave's communications and interactions, and through him, Magnum's.

More recently, IDW Ratchet was bonded with Soundwave, forcing them to share moods, sensations, information, and other thoughts. The extent of the connection has not yet been completely explored.

Contraband: Soundwave is currently in possession of a Transtech Communicator, given to him by Magnum.

Memory Loss: He's forgotten the existence of his cassette, Buzzsaw, after being ( ... )

Canon Point: Post-All Hail Megatron, Prior to The Last Stand of The Wreckers. Perceptor has seen the end of the battle in New York, and moved on with Kup to join the Wreckers dealing with situations in the other parts of the galaxy.

Character Appearance: Look no further.

Residence: His apartment in Zone One, shared with Drift and Sunstreaker. The apartment is within close proximity of his current place of work (as is required, in case of emergency), and is paid for as a part of his position.
Source of Income: Drift and Perceptor work as a security team for a high-ranking mech.

Shockwave Modifications:
Shockwave has upgraded Ironhide's ability to heal himself. Minor damage repairs itself in about a half hour, with heavy damage healed in half the time.

Memory Loss:
Yes. Forgotten his more "intimate" relationship to the Ratchet of his world. He still remembers they were friends, but nothing beyond that. This was due to death at the hands of Dirge.
