Sunstorm had been about looking for a new job, since the casino had since filled his spot [and long forgotten about him] after his previous boot from the Nexus. There were so many other opportunities to choose from, he told himself, so many glorious ones--hopefully, the people hiring were just as welcoming.

"Opportunity knocks~" Sunstorm sang to himself, taking a stroll instead. Flying was superior, definitely, but it's easier to dance when you're walking and happily swaggering was he.

Dirge couldn't help but want to purge his tanks at the way his sycophantic brother was jauntily strolling down the street. It annoyed him that Sunstorm could be satisfied- even happy- with his woefully limited personality fragment. Why should Dirge be the only one who suffered and wanted more?

Fueled by his irritation, the teal clone swooped down and transformed, landing right in the other's way.

"What the frag are you so happy about?" he demanded.

Sunstorm came to a sudden stop, thrusters grinding into the pavement. He stepped back and beamed, vent to vent. "Why, hello, great and surprising Dirge!" he declared and rose his hands. "It's so nice to see you in the metal! You look quite handsome, as usual." His left optic bridge rose. "Oh, yes, Starscream told me I should avoid you, regretfully," Sunstorm said, tapped a claw to his chin, "said you would try to 'eat my spark.'"

He clapped his hands together. "That's so like you, how quaint!"

Dirge huffed, putting his hands on his hips as Sunstorm launched into his usual kiss-aft greetings. He couldn't help be flattered by the 'handsome' comment, despite knowing it wasn't sincere... it was just nice not to have someone bashing his color scheme for once.

"Eat? Hn..." the clone actually looked like he was considering the concept, tongue flicking across his lips briefly.

"I'm not after your allspark shard at the moment. And you didn't answer my question," he grumped, prodding Sunstorm in the chest with a claw.

Sunstorm watched the claw poke-poke. "Oh, you know, just out for a stroll," he purred, twirling and striking up his wrist. He seemed all smiles and calm, his once huge grin now soft and almost smug. Sunstorm's loyalties went to the best and strongest mech and so far, Starscream had proven top dog... that is, the top dog that paid him mind. Besides, no use starting a fight when there's no war.

"Did you swing by to say hello to li'l ole me?" Sunstorm purred. "That is so thoughtful!"

Dirge did not look pleased by his brother's reply, one optic twitching with obvious irritation.

"You're happy because you're walking?" he groused, glancing down at Sunstorm's feet- mostly because he couldn't stand that smug expression. He'd forgotten how annoying it was to be around other clones who knew his weaknesses and enjoyed exploiting them. Still- he wasn't Thundercracker or Slipstream, both of whom would have likely punched him before speaking to him.

"I'm here because I want your loyalty."

"Walking is one of those simple little pleasures in life, don't you think?" Plus you can't swagger and sway while flying without looking like a bigger idiot. He placed his hands together in a solemn clap and said brightly, "My loyalty? Oh, yes, yes! Well, Starscream is a bit more suitable for the time, though I've no doubt he can keep up his great determination." Starscream's got him a place in his army and shelter to say. Thus, Starscream > Dirge. "But that doesn't mean I like you any less!" Sunstorm purred, bowing slightly to appear smaller amongst him. "I'm sure a smart mech like you can understand!"

"No, I don't. We're built for flying," Dirge growled. It was more likely Sunstorm was doing it to be annoying. The teal clone grit his dentals together when his brother refused to give him what he wanted, peppering his explanation with praise for both Dirge and Starscream. How dare Sunstorm- all of the praise should have been for him!

"Oh, I understand..." he sneered, popping open his cockpit and extracting a spray can from inside. "And I'd like you to know, dear brother- that I always get what I want."

One finger depressed the nozzle, shooting a fine mist of clear liquid at his fellow clone.

Sunstorm gave a small squeak and recoiled, but it was too late. The liquid was coating his bright paint job and he looked to his fellow clone. "Well, that was certainly a surprise! You are a tricky, witty mech!" he laughed.

"Yes, yes- I know. Enjoy your new loyalty, Sunstorm. I'll be seeing you later when you decide to come crawling to the Hollow begging to serve under me~!" Dirge purred, transforming back into a jet and taking off again.
