You sir, have made me lol. <3 aircommanderp August 15 2010, 09:55:51 UTC
Starscream was far less enthusiastic about the whole ordeal, but still, this was a welcome break from the chaos that his life had been lately.

Hopefully, this would go over without a hitch. It seemed like it would actually... a stay in a nice hotel, free services, and with his favorite clone at his beck and call.

Yeah. This could be pretty good.

"Very nice, Sunstorm." He humored the orange-cream colored mech, testing out one of the berths.

"Not bad at all, actually..." He quirked an optic ridge slightly as he laid back and stretched out with a sigh.

"How did you land something like this again? Remind me to not yell at you as much."

Sure, I'll jump in on this =D isveryafraid August 15 2010, 19:57:09 UTC
Skywarp, meanwhile, was not nearly as confident about this situation. He stood awkwardly in the middle of the room, cringing from... well, nothing, really.

Luxury was terrifying, after all. It lulled you into a false sense of security, when in reality they could strike at any moment. Skywarp wasn't too sure who "they" were, but he still found the fact that they were staying here for free incredibly suspicious.

"I d-don't know," he said unhappily, twisting his claws together nervously. "It doesn't seem safe. H-have you checked under that berth?" he added to Starscream, staring anxiously at the berth where his creator lounged and the very scary shadows beneath it.

Sunstorm was radiating--well, in both senses. "I have no idea!" he responded to Starscream's question. "But it's the thought that counts, right? Certainly they were being very thoughtful and gracious!" He moved to the window, gave a pleased gasp and clutched his hands together. "Such wonderful accommodations..."

The orange Seeker's attention flipped like a switch onto Skywarp. "Have no fear, my cautious brother," he assured, "I have checked under the berths myself. Nothing to be frightened of! You should try and lay on one!" He gently cajoled Skywarp toward the bedroom, pushing lightly but enthusiastically at his wings. "Do! Do! They're so comfortable!"

It would have been perfect if not for the company. Yeah, Sunstorm was tolerable to some degree. But Skywarp was a constant reminder of failure. At least he was easily scared into obedience. That was the one benefit of keeping him around.

"Primus, Skywarp." He swung open the closet door, "See? Stop being such a protoform. This is supposed to be a vacation and I'll be hard pressed if you spoil it for me."

Skywarp cringed, not protesting as he was pushed toward the berths and sitting gingerly on the edge of one. "I d-don't know. I-it's really comfortable... almost too comfortable..." Truth be told he'd never had such a comfortable berth, and it made him a little nervous. What if it got him to recharge too deeply and he never woke up?!

He flinched again as Starscream opened the closet, but true to the Seeker's words, there was nothing inside. "S-sorry! I'm sorry, I'll t-t-try not to b-bother you!" But oh, it was going to be hard. What if he was scared of something and didn't warn Starscream and then it ended up killing them all? Starscream would be so angry and Skywarp would never forgive himself!

it is weird being a suck up after this week's SG shenanigans... obsequiouslysir August 21 2010, 05:53:32 UTC
Sunstorm had left the two during their mini-"argument," emerging with a tarp wrapped around his waist and head like towels. "There are five pools!" he suddenly shouted, clapping. "Private, too! Acres wide! How brilliant and delightful! You're all going to have so much fun--"

But then: "--Just pay no mind to the hoard of inquisitive people waiting outside."

"Well that does sound rather nice I-"

A beat.

"Hoard of- what?!" Starscream turned to his creamsicle-colored clone with a hard glare.

"What did you get us into, you fool?"

"I d-don't know about swimming," Skywarp muttered uncertainly, only to have the idea completely put out of his head by Sunstorm's next statement.

"P-people? W-w-waiting outside?!" He whimpered, eyes widening, and looked like he wanted to bolt. "I knew we shouldn't have come! Th-th-they're gonna catch us and h-hurt us and- and-" Skywarp's already fragile nerve finally broke and he vanished in a blip of purple light. A couple seconds later, a pair of terrified red optics peered out around the closet door that had been left ajar.

Sunstorm rose his hands to the two, giving a calm wag each. "Now, now, don't get your tender nerves too fried!" he chuckled. "They said they won't bother us any. They're just going to... trail us a bit, ask a few questions." He paused and poked his index digits together. "Though they said they'll want to 'talk' when our vacation is up."

[ooc: ha haaaa sorry this log is so silly and seemingly pointless |D I figured next parts would just be them having an encounter with a hoard of demanding interviewers before closing up. It'd be a timeskip, so if your next replies want to be just them dealing with the reporters, it can end there. |D]

"Oh frag no. I am not leaving this hotel room! They won't get a word out of me!" He sat down, crossed his arms and looked decidedly stubborn. They could not pry him from that spot.

So as it were, roughly ten cycles later they headed out to one of the pools.

But at least Starscream still wasn't talking.

Skywarp, meanwhile, wasn't enjoying this at all. It took a lot of coaxing (and coercion) to get him out of the room at all, and he had suddenly become annoyingly clingy to Starscream and Sunstorm.

Just when he was starting to relax, the appearance of a reporter tapping his arm made him shriek in terror and teleport beneath some nearby pool furniture.
