Summary: Jetfire had challenged Starscream to a flying match. Being an egotistical afthole, Starscream could not refuse.
Shoving his way through the crowds got old fast. Now, more than ever, Starscream takes to the skies. Transforming and rocketing his way across the packed cityscape. He'd been doing fairly well for himself. Finding a job had been fairly simple, if not for the irritation that people seemed predisposed not to trust him. He still can't help but feel horridly out of place. The surreal feeling that comes along with having floated in what could only be described as purgatory as a disembodies spark in the vacuum of space for an indefinite amount of time only to be thrust into... this. So suddenly. Life everywhere, sprawling and vibrant, with his very own body. Trying to scrape together an existence here...

Pointless.
In spite of the near overwhelming emptiness he felt, he continued on, clinging to his ambitions and hatred. It's the only thing he has that is truly solid. His resentment for Megatron... Galvatron, rather. For the Maximals. For those who abandoned him. Even for how much he had thought about it- he resents Skyfire, too. And there was this.
Bot. Jetfire, who looked and talked and acted almost exactly like him. The Seeker cannot help but feel that slow rage bubble up inside him. Either way, he's heading off to meet the bot for a race...
A race. A stupid race. What's the point? To preserve his pride? What pride?
The jet lolls from side to side in the air out of frustration.
Maybe he should simply abandon this idea.
