WHO: Jetstorm and Anyone
WHAT: Jetstorm returns to the 'bots, visiting his brother and trying to resettle
WHERE: A clinic in Zone 2, the Auto-base, wandering around...
WHEN: Now-ish
WARNINGS/NOTES: Pretty much anyone can interact with him here, I don't mind. He'll mostly be at his brother's bedside, but I imagine that, until Jetfire wakes up and

...and he'd realized that it had been a while, since he'd recharged inside of a large, blue tape-deck.
It caused him to shudder, not...even knowing what he was doing now, caught between wanting to get up and ask the doctor how he was even supposed to recharge, and not wanting to leave brother's side...
And then Soundwave walked in.
Jetstorm was on his feet in an instant, standing on the berth, looking completely ready to flee but significantly grounded by the orange jet behind him that he was not going to leave alone for Soundwave to convert, ready to try fighting if he had to and knowing that if Soundwave gave him an order, he wouldn't be able to resist...
Wait.
Kiddo?
"..."
"...."
"....you...are....not...being Soundwave, are you?" He finally decided, after a few more moments and getting the chance to really be looking the other over. There was too much white.
There was too much....'kiddo.'

Jetstorm's reaction isn't offensive. He understands completely. As such, he slowly sets himself onto his knees, keeping his hands up in the air.
"Eh?" There's a confused flicker in his blue visor, then his frame trembles before he laughs a little. "Well, it's m'name, little dude, but I ain't the one that... that did this. I promise ya."

He shook his head, relaxing slowly but not yet coming off-guard.
"You are...to be sounding...like he is, but also you are not."
But he also...still...was, and even though he 'belonged' to the other one, he could sense the nearness of a compatible tape-deck, and thought on how tired he was, and--
Promptly thought about how terrifying that had been, for one night, and shivered, sitting back down next to brother.
"...I am..not knowing nearly enough about Cassettes. If...you are not being of evil-badness-bots, then...
...
can you be telling me?
How...I am to be recharging, and why...you...
...are feeling like I can be trusting you?"

He tries to make light of it in his tone. Soundwave always preferred the less heavy stuff in life; thinking too deep, focusing too much on the dark stuff. It's too much sometimes on the processor. Just isn't his style.
But he does dwell, sometimes.
"Nah, I ain't evil. Promise."
Soundwave holds out his hands finally, once he's sure that Jetstorm doesn't feel as threatened. He's silently offering to pick him up.
It. It makes him think of the twins -- his twins. How much he misses them.
"Recharging is pretty essential for a tape to do in a deck. Especially if you got a bond, I guess. I mean, you could technically recharge without a deck, but it ain't as easy. Not a complete recharge. Far as trusting me goes? Well, guess that's just my charismatic personality."

"..he is never saying 'kiddo.' Am betting a million credits."
And then there was a hand offered, and he knew the indication, and heard the promise, and believed it.
He wasn't sure if that was because he was a cassette, or just because he felt so, so alone at this point--and he didn't particularly care. He was in the hands in a moment, and that was...fine.
"...you...are...needing to be careful, then. Iron-bot is hating of Soundwaves, and he is coming in here always..."
He shivered, in the hands, thinking about the recharging.
"...but you are being really easy to trust, and that is making me worried that I am not having any will-power left, and that I'll be getting in trouble again...
but I am going to be needing to recharge, eventually." He curled up, pulling his knees to his chest.
"It was just so, so strange to be doing it, with Soundwave-con."

Gently, he picks up Jetstorm, tucking him against his shoulder in a loose hug. It's the way he's always treated Frenzy and Rumble. Affection is just something he can't help himself with.
"Iron-bot... You mean Ironhide?" There's a small chuckle. "Hey, no worries. 'Hide knows the difference between me an' that Soundwave. 'Hide is a good pal of mine. But thanks for thinkin' of me, Jetdude."
There's a light pat to Jetstorm's back. "But you gotta think of yourself right now. Think of what's good for you."
There's a pause, then a nod. "You got will-power. I mean. You want to be here. You want to be with your brother. If you had no will-power, you would'a just stayed where you were, right? Don't worry about it.
"But yeah, I bet... I bet it was weird, especially since you weren't originally constructed for this whole fraggin' thing."

"...but...am thinking this is because no mechs he is talking to are being cassettes. Is...different. How he reacts...to...them."
He nodded, again, more solemnly to the mention of Ironhide, and then just...listened, because this was all good advice, and he was particularly wanting good advice to follow right now.
He needed it.
"Am...glad you are knowing of Ironhide. He is...being good. Very good."
And...that...might have been him leaning against this Soundwave--the tiniest bit.
"Is...extremely weird. But...am...wanting to be with Brother, yes, and...um. Thank you. For believing in me?"

Or...
Something his big brother used to say.
"But if it's easier. Then believe in me, who believes in you, yeah?" he tones softly.
For now, he considers. He'd just met the kid, and they don't know one another very well. But Soundwave knows -- has known that he will do everything he can to protect these kids. Jetfire, Jetstorm, and Sari. To him, nothing else can be so important.
"Yer tired, right? Tell you what. I got nothin' else I'm doin' right now. If you gotta recharge, you can recharge in me. And I'm gonna stay right here with your bro until you come back online. I ain't gonna insist, though. Just want you to be well, okay?"

...but then thinking on something that needed to be added to it.
"So long as you are also believing in Brother?"
A yes would earn Soundwave a definite snuggle.
--at least, until he froze up, at that suggestion.
It...was innocently offered, and kind, and not an order at all, and because of that he wasn't upset at the way his joints wanted to loosen-up and transform into recharge-mode.
But he was still terrified of it.
Quietly, he just...shook his head.
"Am...am wanting to, Soundwave. But Ratchet is saying it is...not...being of a good idea, right now."

Snuggles are definitely appreciated. It's odd for him to think, but affection is so darn rare around here. Not that he's in demand of it, either; he's just simply used to it.
The change in Jetstorm's frame is noticed, but he doesn't say anything about it. The mention of Ratchet irritates him a little -- he would say that -- but he just nods.
Pressuring the kid won't help. If he wants or needs the recharge -- which he will, if he's going to be stuck any longer in this form -- then it's sort of. Inevitable.
"No problem, kiddo. Offer's there if y'need it, that's all."

A lot.
With a tiny nod, Jetstorm just rests against him, more comfortable now that that pressure isn't there...even if a good chunk of his systems still think it would be a remarkable idea.
"...am...going to be needing it, I think. Am just...not...knowing what to think, right now."
He sighed, an action carrying through his whole frame.
"But knowing you are being around--that helps. I am not thinking I could go back to any other Soundwave, right now."
Reply
"Pff, I sure as heck hope y'don't; most of them are kind of. Y'know. Not as cool as me."
He says it as a joke; Soundwave doesn't have that kind of confidence or slice sense of superiority. However, he doesn't think well of the other two, either. They're kind of.
Creepy.
"Seriously, though. If y'need anything -- even if it's jus' t'hang out or whatevs -- you lemme know, yeah?"
