WHAT: A minor... territorial dispute.
WHERE: Zone 9, Magatha's enormous open pit

WARNINGS/NOTES: Politics, magics, and possibly a scuffle.
The work was proceeding well. Several unfortunates had attempted to interfere - why, Magatha was unclear, as the entire place was made of metal rubbish - but apparently they had territories in it, like wildcats in the mountains. In any case, they had been disposed of: with true earth so close to them, the earth spirits were restless and not inclined to tolerate any offenses.
Magatha herself was in consultation with one of the larger spirits, likely native to this place by virtue of its metallic composition. They were indeed very close: within a week's work, perhaps, at their current rate. The dim lighting had stopped being able to reach the bottom of the pit some time before. Magatha found it ironic that she had been involved in such great earth constructions in two worlds: it had been her notion to coax the elementals into raising Thunder Bluff up onto an artificial mesa, and now she was helping dig deep into the earth. It was balance, she supposed, of a sort.
