KARR found a suitably interesting (and non-threatening) mech to scan. The black Trans-Am entered Silent Mode and trimmed his electromagnetic emissions as he approached the resting robot from it's rear hemisphere. Then, from only a stone's throw to ensure maximum resolution, he systematically scanned the other machine.

If someone had the perspective and the knowledge, they could categorize this scan as a cautious one. Normally he went through the entire EM spectrum with his scanner within seconds, but this was a much more deliberate probe. Each wavelength he used was held long enough to see if there would be a response, before moving on to the next.

KARR would normally skip visible wavelengths, for obvious reasons, but this time he went through those, too. It was true, he was feeling slightly overwhelmed by this whole ordeal. Perhaps if he could find a pattern in the construction of these ungainly 'beasts,' he could find a weakness. And that would certainly make him feel better.

The black coupe eased backwards to just outside stomping distance. His baritone reply came swiftly.

"Everything is of interest to someone." KARR was feeling a lot better now that he had learned a thing or two about, if nothing else, the being he was talking to. Apparently the spherical energy sources each of these machines seemed to carry did not, for some odd reason, power them. He had overestimated their offensive potential, if this mech was any indicator.

"It would seem that the large energy charge within you serves no purpose," KARR stated. Naturally, KARR had no spark, and knew nothing of them.

He decided to leave Silent Mode, given the circumstances. It robbed him of most of his horsepower and he thought he might need his tremendous acceleration soon.
