Octane happened to be in the area trawling the ruins for hidden energy sources that cropped up on his internal radar. He hadn't been finding much of anything most of the day until now- something sizeable was currently pinging his interface, something nearby.

A large fuel tanker truck coasted to a halt at the crest of a hill, its wind shield wipers twitching in surprise at what was below. Dozens of differently sized creatures made of rock diligently digging in the earth... and a mammalian organic perched nearby surrounded by little glowing objects. Everything seemed to be charge with an energy Octane had never encountered before.

"What in the...?"

[agasham]

The 'mammalian organic' stood, tail swishing slowly from side to side. She may have been smiling faintly to herself, though it was hard to tell. "Yes?"

[gas_guzzler]

The truck slowly unfolded into a purple mech with wings, who crouched and squinted at Magatha and her small armada of rock beings.

"These things are givin' off tons of weird energy... You are too, in fact. Are you radioactive by any chance?"

[agasham]

Magatha looked up at the revealed being, apparently not impressed. "I don't know the meaning of that word," she told him calmly. "Furthermore, they are not 'things:' they're earth elementals."

[gas_guzzler]

"It means- Nevermind. I think all your hair would be falling out if you were. But you gotta tell me what you're doing here..." He waved a hand at the carvings and the earth elementals. "Whatever it is, the energy level is way high for an organic to be producing!"

[agasham]

"We are seeking the surface of this world," Magatha said, as though this were a perfectly logical thing to do. "It is the power of the elements you feel, not mine."

[gas_guzzler]

Octane regarded her for a few moments with a bewidlered look on his face.

"...Ain't the surface what we're standin' on right now? Don't you mean the center?"

He was equally unfamiliar with whatever 'elements' she claimed to be the source of the energy spike.

"Never heard of anything like that, Lady."

[agasham]

"No, I imagine you wouldn't have," Magatha sighed. "And I do mean the surface. Look at what we are standing on: rubble and ruined buildings." She gestures at their surroundings. "I want the land underneath it."
