[Optimus is on his way there himself after giving Mirage all the information he managed to aquire, and is already waiting in their usual room by the time Multivariable arrives. He's beyond tense, but greets the other leader with a nod, however.]

[Optimus nods gravely.] It is only good in the fact that we actually have this information now - what the information is, however, is the most concerning thing I've found since being here in this place. [The last is almost a snarl, a far cry from his usual, more muted dislike for the Nexus. He pauses, giving Multivariable a searching, oddly knowing look.]

The missing days in our memory files. Mine, yours... the same gap that is sure to be in young 'Orion', and in 'Magnum' and 'Malis' and ...'Iminicus'.

I know what happened during those days. Axiom is far from safe, for any of us.

[Megatron's hands flex, something fierce and predatory flashing across his expression. Knowledge - knowledge they're not supposed to have - is their best weapon here, and he doesn't have nearly enough of it to suit him.]

[Optimus gives Megatron a look - as friendly as he has become with the honorable Decepticon, the subject of the Matrix has never come up between them. Of course, once he shares his memory files, it won't matter anyway, so he decides the point is rather moot.]

...I was able to use the Matrix - artifact of great power from my home universe - to retrieve my memories. The Transtechs responsible were able to delete the memories from my own processor, but the power of the Matrix is beyond even their means, and records the memories of every Prime to hold it.

[Fascination and confusion visibly war on Megatron's face.] I've never heard of such a thing, but then, the title of 'Prime' is one that my universe's Optimus gave himself, not part of any lineage or historical group that I've heard of. I don't suppose it would be linked to the 'Primus' that many other universes invoke?

But yes, it is. The Matrix is - supposedly - connected directly to Primus. [His tone suggests, however, that 'supposedly' isn't a issue with him. He believes it.] At the very least, it is something powerful enough that the Transtechs were not able to remove the memories from it, or even alter it in any way.

[If Megatron had eyebrows, they'd go up.] That's wonderful to hear - I'm glad you have such a being as Primus in your universe. I could wish there was a benevolent god in mine. [Wryly, but then the other leader shakes it off.] It does ease my ember to know something about the limits that the Transtechs have.

Perhaps you do have one in your own universe - maybe it just hasn't been found yet? [Optimus suggests, his usual optimism in high form.] I would hope so, considering how many things seem to be stacked against you and your people there.

But back on topic... [He opens a forearm panel, drawing out a connection line.] Do you still have that adapter on you?

I warn you now, though. This isn't exactly pleasant viewing from my perspective. I don't dare leave anything out; any bit of data might be useful, and I have no desire to repeat the events within if I 'loose' those files again.

[Optimus just nods and bracing himself in return, sends the file.

Though the beginning of the data is slightly fuzzy due to Prime's own grogginess, Orion's explanation about Shockwave comes through and paints a chilling picture about their purpose there.

And then the location becomes clear, with all the other Primes... and Megatrons, including himself...and even the human boy, all trapped in the room together.

The bickering, the near-battle that almost broke out between the lot of them...and then the Transtechs, with the lot of them reduced to their experiments. Mentions of what powers Primes and Megatrons possess - Matrices and evolutions into madness, though it seems to be the inverse Prime rather then Megatron has likely earned that fate - and their dire promise.

And then the attack, swift and undefendable; the young Orion snatched, and the view shifting, the others growing small below even as Multivariable attempts to aid him and- and oh it just hurts. Panic and pain and a sharp, spark-wrenching loss that the memory even ( ... )
