WHO: Naomi and anyone. And I do mean anyone-- girl needs her interactions.
WHAT: In which one esper is released from medical examining and starts to put the pieces together.
WHERE: Zone 4, but still on the move
WHEN: Two days after this
WARNINGS/NOTES: Separate threads for the sake of my sanity, please!

She was no stranger to examinations, but that didn't mean that Naomi enjoyed them-- especially when she had to vehemently refuse any sort of head scans out of fear that her brain waves would mess up their equipment. There was a reason why all B.A.B.E.L. espers had their own medical ward. She almost missed it, and the psychometers; Sakaki or Shiho would have been able to tell immediately what had happened. But the fact was that they weren't here, and she had to figure things out for herself.

Which she'd been doing ever since her fever had broke. Naomi knew her abilities inside and out, and knew just as acutely when something was wrong, because they reacted to that. The headache had diminished greatly, much to her relief, and removing her limiter hadn't caused her powers to go haywire again. Because of that, she opted to leave the hospital on her own and make her way back, rather than request a pick-up from one of the Autobots. She'd caused them enough trouble, and she needed to just... move. And think, and she was positive she'd be fielding questions soon enough. She owed Kino and Temeraire an explanation, she had news to catch up on and people to see, and there were several things to consider.

The first one being that, since the deportation had completely thrown off her sense of time, Naomi had made sure to check that when she returned, shortly before she woke up in an alley. But speaking to the doctors had revealed that the date was actually two days after what she last remembered. That part Naomi hadn't mentioned to anyone just yet, but she was worried and unhappily reminded of Jazz's warning. And then there was the issue of her powers...

She'd decided to fly when the coast was clear, just to ensure that she still could, and there'd been no problem; she could reach top speed without any sort of strain. She could even retrace her path from the way Jazz had gone en route to the hospital. There was the museum, and the pink-roofed cafe two and a half blocks down from that, and the store with the cracked pane on the left, and--

Alarm bells went off on her head and Naomi landed hard, not particularly caring who saw her at the moment. When she'd been taken to the hospital, she'd been feverish and dizzy, only half-aware of her surroundings when she'd blearily gazed out the window. Her sense of direction was perfectly fine, but there was no way she should have been able to remember any of the not-too-important landmarks, let alone most of them.

Then... why could she?

The girl exhaled shakily, plopping down on a bench that had seen better days. She had to calm down, think through this rationally. But really...

She would have preferred to think of anything else right now.
