If one were to ask Graham Spector how he'd gotten to where he was now, he would have simply replied that he walked. And it was true, because how else was he going to get anywhere when none of the big car-guys would let him in for a ride?
At least Mikaela had shown him how to work the map-dohickey on the equally complicated communicator, and he'd managed to stop wasting recording space by accidentally making videos of his thumb. He would have loved to take it apart since it was the only spacey thing he'd really been allowed to touch, but he wasn't so far-gone in his mind to ignore common sense that he'd need the thing in one piece to make use of it. Maybe later, once he learned a little more about things worked around here- but even then, that would probably take a Really Long Time.
"...I guess I must have taken a wrong turn," he mumbled as he eyed the device, then turned it upside-down. "Hah! I was going up instead of down- but one way's almost as good as another around here!" He snorted, shoving the thing into the pocket of his jumpsuit before starting along again, resting his wrench across his shoulders. A shadow passed over him, bringing him to slow to a stop once again, and he watched the new metal wonder land not too far from him (and thankfully not on him). At a glance he would have thought it was that warped-sky guy, but no... There was decidedly something...different.
And then it hit him the longer he stared. Well he had no idea they came in different genders!!
Slipstream, too, was starting to make use of the map function, still grumbling to herself...at least until she had the uncanny sense that she was being watched.
Unlike Skywarp, this didn't terrify her; far from it, she found herself getting annoyed, and lowered her wrist to take a look around. She couldn't even see anyo-
Wait.
There was an organic staring up at her, and she scowled at it. "What?"
To make matters worse, the mechanic had started to approach her, a slow grin pulling across his face. He halted once Slipstream had turned her attention to him, eyes brightening.
"And lo, she speaks!" Most tended to refer to vehicles in the feminine sense, and it hadn't been something Graham had given much thought to, especially when the vehicle-bots he'd met were all decidedly male.
"But here, here is something that just seems right! No, not an automobile..." He'd start to circle her if he was able to get that close. "No! I'm stumped! What are you?!"
Slipstream narrowed her optics, following him with her gaze but otherwise remaining still. She would turn enough to keep him in her sights, but other than that...
"What do I look like?" she snapped, wings twitching in anger. "Do you see any wheels on me, human!?"
"No, not a one! Which is what baffles me!" Graham quipped, hopping with his response, spinning as though he were dancing with the wrench. He stopped, pointing it at the Decepticon.
"But you flew, and you have wings- which didn't really seem to do anything but I'm no expert in aircraft!"
She narrowed her optics at him, folding her arms across her chest and resisting the urge to kick him over a building. "You can hardly fly without wings," she sneered.
The mechanic grinned, nodding his head, seeming not the least put off by Slipstream's tone. "Exactly! But it didn't seem like you had to make much use of it." He rested the over-sized wrench on the ground, leaning on it slightly as he set a fist at his hip.
"But that doesn't matter. I forget what the point I was trying to make was. OH!" He hopped up, snapping his fingers. "You're beautiful!!"

Slipstream hated idiots.
