[Megatron - with a temporary coat of paint that is not terribly becoming on him but does remove his, well, resemblance to himself - has finally dared the library himself, rather than sending others to retrieve materials for him. He is not enjoying the experience of being in the upper Zones as much as might be expected; it tweaks his sense of caution (or maybe paranoia) far too much.]

[Disguised or not, though, Megatron has a good memory. Thus, he pauses by Kitt as he goes by, carriny a stack of un-networked datapads and even a few dusty archival boxes containing analog materials.] Excuse me - are you Kitt? We met over the network, I believe...

The voice. He recognized the voice as the one who had directed Cometfall - now known as Starscream - to him. "Multivariable," Kitt greeted. "Yes, I am Kitt."

The amount of use gotten by the analog resources of this library was almost surprising. It was strange how this culture struck him as both futuristic and retrograde.

"It's a pleasure to meet you in person," Megatron said with a smile. "I don't suppose you ever got a chance to meet Starscream before he left, by any chance?" Megatron has never and will never refer to 'his' Starscream as Cometfall, no matter how useful or becoming the pseudonym may be. That would mean that the majority of the Starscreams were somehow 'more Starscream' than his own.

"I did. He was extremely helpful and was able to fix most of the damage that had been done to me during the chemical spill, and I sent him a number of books as well as music files. It was good to meet him. Thank you for your recommendation." His scanner whispered in its usual calm motion, hiding the curiousity - it was interesting to actually see Multivariable. He had spoken to so many over the network yet seen so few.

"Excellent; I hope he shares once we all get back." Megatron's smile is wryly joking - he knows that of course Starscream will, just as he and Soundwave will. "I'm glad that he was able to help you; he's one of the most brilliant beings I know."

"I concur." Mostly, anyway. He remembered what had been said between them, about emotions. He still didn't quite believe it. "It would have been good to speak with him further."

Though perhaps, he thought, he could speak with Multivariable about one matter.

"His departure was - abrupt, to say the least," Megatron agreed. He'd actually quite like to know what Starscream had told Kitt about emotions and the necessity thereof, but that was an intimate question, and besides, the other was likely busy. No one came to a library simply to idle, after all.

"Multivariable - your name intimates you are familiar with the higher forms of mathematics." He paused his researches on anatomy - the data wasn't going anywhere, after all.

"I used to teach the subject," Megatron admitted, half-smiling. "Was there something you wanted to know?"

"I have noticed some... impossibilities within my own code," he said, his voice now carefully pitched to avoid notice beyond the immediate area. "While I trust Ratchet, Skyfire, and Starscream for my physical repair, I am not certain they would understand my coding. Your name and your assurance just now indicates you may."

"Impossibilities?" Megatron frowned, his own voice pitched just as softly. "Of course; I'll do everything I can to help."

"I seem to posess memories from before my activation. In a form that is not my own," Kitt answered - that was vague enough, he thought. It wasn't going into the story of Karr. It was merely acknowledging that something was there.

"I can see how that would be worrisome," Megatron mused. "When would be convenient for you? I've the entire day if necessary." The research he had now could of course wait in the face of someone who needed help.

"I have a shift at Saint Fallen before curfew. If you wish to scan my coding before then, you are welcome to try." He'd see to it that he got to work on time - as odd as it still was to have to work in such a way.

"Certainly," Megatron agreed. "Would you like to come with me to the cubicle I've been using, if now is a good time? It's slightly more private than right here. Alternately, if there's somewhere else you'd feel more secure..." After all, this wasn't something to be done lightly.

"I believe it would be best done somewhere besides this library, but there is no rush. Do you have a secure location?" Kitt spoke quietly but simply, knowing that if what he suspected was true, there may be an element of danger.
