Business was booming, the credits were rolling in, and with all those new parts that Magnum was sending in, things were looking up at the shop. Swindle had all the time he could want to toy with parts and design new weapons. He had high-grade, the best quality oil, anything a bot could want. It was a fantastic life, the kind of gig he'd dreamed about back home ( ... )

Jetstorm was immediately screeching to a halt in mid-air, being recognizing of that voice and sending scanners in all directions for it. A voice he was to be knowing...and....it was asking about Brother? It was maybe knowing where he was?

As soon as scanners were detecting evil pilfering badness-bot, however, he was not being of so pleased, transforming out of jet-mode with wind turbines already unsheathed along his arm and aiming at the Decepticon. His rear jet came on, suspending him amidst the crowd...

...but he was quickly realizing this was not being so smart of a move, however, as he had to dodge out of the way of an overly-large square-like bot moving with the traffic on the road. "YOU." He was to be shouting, nonetheless, zooming forward to land with a few running steps on the ground in front of Swindle where he would not be having of accident, weapons still at the ready. "What is you to be doing here?"

"What, can't a bot go for a walk these days?" Swindle just grinned, showing no signs of intimidation. He'd taken the twins out before, and he was sure he could handle just one of them. But he wasn't about to take chances, of course. The Elite Guard preferred to shoot first and interrogate later. So, when faced with one of them? Have more guns.

And those Swindle had in excess. The arms dealer practically glowed with all his weapons out and online. "Let me guess: you're new around here. Hasn't anyone told you about the whole no-war deal? It's a sweet little setup, really. I don't slag you, you don't slag me, we can all go for high-grade and reminisce about the good old times. Like when I put you and your brother in stasis and threw you in your own brig! Great story."

"Is not to be going for walk, or to be drinking, or to be reminiscing about stories that are having happy endings, like the defeating of Decepticon empire, with you." He scowled...but...was sufficiently being stalled by the mass amount of weaponry that was now being aimed at him. It was maybe being possible to be moving fast enough to avoid being hit...if he was kicking in his jet at the right moment....

(Or, if Brother had been around, it would have been the exact time he would be showing up, probably being with stupid phrase that would be requiring Jetstorm to be making sound cool...)

...except, Swindling-bot did not seem to be actually firing. And he was...right?

What was being wrong with this city, that Decepticons were suddenly being right? It was making Jetstorm very annoyed, and ( ... )

"Hey, no hard feelings! Sure, the end of the war'll be terrible for business, but with those nice parts I got, I'd call it an even trade." The weapons retracted with practiced ease; it was fairly obvious that Swindle was used to these sort of negotiations. It was amazing how many bots thought that threatening someone would get them a discount.

"Pilfer-bots? Well that's not how it is at all! I've gone legit these days. Well, mostly. But you're right about the shop. Four Swindles and every one a consummate businessbot. Why? Found yourself needing a few parts? I'm sure I can arrange something."

Jetstorm was giving the green googly-eyed bot a vary wary look while he was talking, not certain that he was to be trusting someone who was sounding so...at ease. But Swindle was not seeming to be bothered by...anything, really. Even having had his weapons out a moment before, he was now chatting as if nothing had been going wrong, and this was...being strange to Jetstorm.

"...is...only to be about business for Swindle-bot?" With a quick glance around, he re-sheathed his turbines. "He is not caring if Decepticons are being defeated?" This...hadn't entirely occurred to him, although he was remembering that Swindle had left the other Decepticons to their defeat on Sentinel Prime sir's ship...
That hadn't been so strange, though. They were being Decepticons, after all.

But it was possible that it was just being how green-square-ish-bot was, always ( ... )

"Here's a lesson for you. Life's either business or pleasure, and war is definitely business." He shrugged. "Sure I'll miss my best customer, but that Megatron never stays down for long. Give it a few stellar cycles and some rebels will break the old warmonger out if he hasn't done it himself." The Decepticons would be fine without their leader, of course, but better not remind the Autobots of that. No need to complicate things if they ever went home.

"Blackout? A Tyran bot, helicopter? I've met him once or twice; what about him?" He wasn't about to volunteer information, after all! Professional scruples and all that. "Haven't seen your brother yet. I'd remember spotting that faceplate around here."

"Megatron is better to be staying down." Jetstorm glared, being absolutely certain (he thought) of the abilities of the Elite Guard, especially while he and Brother were being on the force. The fact that he was no longer able to be on Cybertron with Brother, keeping an eye on such Decepticreeps, was the only reason there was to be any doubt in his processors, at all. But, at the very least, Swindle bot was being here, leaving one less Decepticon back in their world. It was of some small comfort.

At the mention of a Tyran helicopter, however, Jetstorm finally perked up. "Yes! Yes! That is being him...! And you are knowing where he is to be living?" Maybe finding of this Swindle-bot was not being so bad, after all.

...having no further leads on brother was not to be as nice, however, and he glanced around quickly, rechecking the crowd for a flash of orange before he shook his head. "...it...he...is having to be here somewhere, right? It is not being possible that I am arriving and he is not, is it?" Now that he had ( ... )

"You can't keep that kind of bot down as long as he's online," Swindle replied with a bit of pride in his voice. He might not be the most loyal Decepticon (well, he wasn't the least; Starscream usually held that honor), but he had a certain respect for Megatron. His and, increasingly, the one he'd met here. Magnus was an entirely different breed, but in the end? You couldn't look him in the optics without immediately knowing who he was. Megatron, any Megatron, was a force to be reckoned with ( ... )

"Then maybe we are to be taking him offline, if he is to be causing troubles..." Jetstorm started to bristle again, before he was thinking better of it. He and brother were both having tempers, it was being true, but Jetstorm was always to be proud of his not catching on fire quite so much. It was not being a subject he was wanting to be talking about, anyhow ( ... )
