Who: Shockwave, Tarantulus, and Kang
What: Shockwave likes experimenting. Tarantulus likes putting needless modifications on people. Kang is their first unlucky test subject.
Where: Shockwave's Seekrit Lab O Doom (tm)
Notes: Miiight contain slightly creepy things mostly involving mad science.
It had been easy.

Kang hadn't been drunk, precisely, but he'd been tipsy, and it had been a simple matter to have one of his remote drones (who had been trailing the Draconian for weeks) herd him into a corner under the pretense of something about violating some extraordinarily obscure law with almost no fuss, and then to quietly sedate him and bundle him away. Immune to diseases did not mean immune to certain mild poisons, after all.

And then there'd been the explanations. The careful, continued repeating to Tarantulus that no, they could not simply dissect this one, much as Shockwave truly and deeply wanted to. He had briefly cut Kang open after running a diagnostic to examine him, but had been very, very careful to keep the draconinan alive.

Which he had been extraordinarily glad that he'd done one he found that curious organ.

It was suffused with an energy unlike any he'd ever seen - the closest equivalent he knew was Allspark radiation - and from his examinations he'd determined that if the creature's life functions ceased, its bones would explode. Violently. Probably enough to damage even himself.

He'd carefully and quickly sewn the Draconian up after that, using all his technology to ensure that Kang healed perfectly with no trace of scars.

There was only so much, however, that he could discern from careful poking and prodding. That organ was truly a mystery to him, as was the energy surrounding it - he could find no conventional way to stimulate it, and he was not sure he wanted to try unconventional ways, given how unstable it seemed.

So it was that he slowly brought Kang around.

The lab was dark and foreboding, huge machinery hanging from the ceiling, a softly glowing console in the corner. Shockwave and Tarantulus' optic sensors required almost no light to function properly, so the only light came from the two TransTechs and the monitor in the corner.

Shockwave was sitting in the corner, a datapad in one hand, the other on the touchpad of one of the monitors, his legs crossed, looking almost nonchalant. A cup of tea steamed on the table next to him. Tarantulus, in the meantime, hung suspended from the ceiling over Kang in beast mode, his mandibles clicking ominously.

"... and glorious master shockwave when may i begin may i cut him open and see what's inside may i take that organ of his may i make him beautiful give him true wings or true thunder or something else make him change make him..."

"No," said Shockwave. Though his voice was utterly emotionless, there was still something about the way he said it which seemed almost sharp. "Kill him and he will explode, likely dealing irreparable damage to the lab. Furthermore, we cannot afford to lose any of them. You will have your chance to play when I am through."

Tarantulus fell quiet, still talking to himself in Cybertronian, but not loudly enough to hear. It was disturbing nonetheless.

"Well, Kang, are you awake?" asked Shockwave.
