"Hey. How you feeling?" He asks quietly, slipping over to stand next to the berth.

Even if Soundwave's been really, really stupid around him and Jazz lately. Ugh; he's such a moron.
He owes both of them. Something. He doesn't even know.
"Like I just got reconstructed from recycled parts. Which ain't too bad in comparison to how I was before, dude." Tiredly, Soundwave lifts a hand and waves to Bee. "Sorry 'bout what happened."
Reply
"I would have done the same thing if I hadn't had Sam to take care of." He nods, affirming his opinion of the other 'bot.
"Just rest and get yourself back up to one hundred percent, okay?"
Reply
He glances down to the floor. "Jus' brought up some bad memories. Couldn't let it go."
There's some hesitation, then he takes Bumblebee's hand in his own, loosely. "Yeah. If I don't, Screamer's gonna give me that look. Ya know? He's such a mom -- think that's what humans call 'em."
Reply
"I understand. It's...well, wars always give you bad memories, y'know?" He shrugs, glancing downwards uncomfortably.
"Heh. Yeah. He worries about you a lot. Worries about everyone, I think. He's a good guy, though. Better'n any of the others." He shakes his head slightly, looking down on the other mech. Soundwave looks to be doing alright and, hopefully, he'll be back on his feet soon. Bumblebee isn't sure what he would have done if he'd lost his friend.
Reply
He was dumb. He panicked. He expects get a receptor-full from Starscream later about it, too.
"Screamer's primary function after science is to, like, worry," he remarks fondly. Starscream's one of his best friends in the whole span of universes; he adores the bot, even if he can be kind of a pain in the gears sometimes. He's still one of the most noble Cybertronians he's ever met in his life.
"But yeah, he's a good guy," he agrees.
There's the feeling that he's sure Bumblebee's worried. The kind of bot he is, too -- the way friends just are. Soundwave would have been fretting out of his processor if their situations were switched, no doubt.
He can't really smile in assurance, so he just sends a signal of I'm all right, I'll be okay to Bumblebee.
Reply
"Thought you'd gone and got yourself killed or something equally awful." A small, nervous laugh from the Autobot, returning the signal with one of his own. Comforting and pleased. I know. You'll be fine. You'll be fine.
"But you know what they say...you can't keep a good 'bot down, right?" His hand tightens around Soundwave's, trying to convey a sense of his worry along with the relief that his friend had come out in halfway decent shape.
Reply
"Nah. You guys are stuck with me. Sorry." Gently, he tightens his grip on Bumblebee's hand, just a bit, just in return.
"Sorry I've been kind of a jerk lately, too."
Reply
"Aw, slag. Now what am I going to do?" He leans over the berth, shaking his head in an amused fashion. He pauses, a bit confused.
"...How've you been a jerk?"
Reply
"Guess you gotta deal with what you get, dude!" Stuck with him indeed. Axiom's full of trouble, but he's never been gladder to have friends like Bee.
Hesitantly, Soundwave taps his fingers on the berth in a nervous rhythm. "Bein' awkward with you an' Jazz," he admits.
Reply
"What do you mean? I mean, Jazz is a friend. A very good friend...but that's about it, really." He chuckles quietly.
Reply
"I mean, like. I was..." He fidgets a little. "I dunno, I was just dumb an' I felt kinda. Jealous? I guess? 'Cuz yer a cool dude an' all."
Nope, he doesn't think any of that made sense. It's an instinctive sense of protection. Soundwave doesn't want to examine too deeply about why he was jealous. Just... that he was.
Reply
"What's there to be jealous about? Really?"
Reply
...Not that he has any other reason. No. None at all. He just was. Don't look, don't think about it.
"Uh. Nothin', I guess..."
Reply
"You're really very much alike, actually." He's not going to press the issue. Soundwave should feel comfortable while he's recuperating.
Reply
He's just been stupid. That's all.
Quietly, and struggling with his own lack of strength, he raises a hand and sets it tiredly on the top of Bumblebee's helm. His digits just idly brush over one of the horns protruding from the Autobot's helmet.
"Heh. When I'm not all like. A scrapheap here, I'll give it a go," he assures.
He muses, "Glad you're feelin' better, too, Bee."
