Mad was kind of an understatement, mostly 'cause it was worry that was driving her crazy instead of actually being pissed off.

She was currently leaning against a building with her arms crossed over her chest as she waited for him, a small frown on her features. At least he was alive, he got a few points for that.

Mikaela pushed herself off the wall when she say him, and gave him a reproachful look.

"Yeah. It kinda has been, hasn't it?" She's pissy Sam, watch out.

He scratched at his neck and took a tiny step back. Oh this sucked. "I know it's my fault so is there anyway I can make it up to you? I mean, there's gotta be something."

Sam could hope at least. He really didn't want his girlfriend to be upset with him for the next week or even the next hour.

"Sam..." She dropped her hands and sighed. "Look, just...tell me next time, okay?" She took a step towards him, closing the gap he'd created. "Please?"

She didn't want to be mad at him. She actually had a hard time being mad at him anyway; in the time it had taken him to get to her after their discussion, she'd already cooled off quite a bit.

It took him a second to respond, he took a deep breath and lowered his head. "Okay, I will." Even though he didn't want to. It had been two years since they "discovered" the alien race and had been introduced to all kinds of danger but-- he still didn't want her to get hurt.

With the gap gone, he figured she wasn't going to randomly start hitting him with a hidden purse, so he wrapped his arms around her.

"So, uh, enjoying your stay here?" Sam was filled with stupid questions, it was what he was good at.
