Megatron...was walking his dog.
He was aware of leash laws, and he was aware of how ridiculous it was to try to find three leather collars and leash for what amounted to 20 tons of canine. Therefore, he ignored the leash laws. Cerberus needed exercise, and Cerberus was particularly aware of just what lengths Megatron would go to if he managed to escape: It had taken three bounty hunters, last time, to bring him down.
Besides, he liked to play fetch. It had taken Megatron and Barricade some time to train the dog out of playing fetch with humans, but after substantial legal ramifications and having to pay too many hospital bills, it had been necessary.
Now...he took him to mostly empty places, and let him run through back-alleys and roads, playing fetch with an old light-post he'd dug up in Zone 8.
Said light post, it turned out...landed right in front of Optimus Prime, which...was problematic enough, without the impending doom of a three-headed dog bearing down on top of it.
Megatron was soon to follow.

Too close for comfort, and he had no idea what it really was. It could have been another "gift" from the boy who'd visited him that one night or it could have been a bomb. Either way, his reaction was instantaneous and completely of reflex.
The semi's brakes locked, sending all ten tires screaming over the roadway. He was too heavy to stop as quickly as some of the smaller bots around, and he was going to roll right over the object before he could get an arm out in full to try and push himself up over it. So, he settled for a half-formed fist instead as a foot, also half-formed, kicked his other half up just in time to clear the thing.
On the other side, the mech tumbled end over once, transitioned into a controlled roll where he stopped front down in the middle of the road, looking over at the... light pole?... battle mask in place.
A moment later, the beast of a canine came bounding into view. Optimus slowly and silently rose to his feet, unsure of what to think of the whole incident and unwilling to be attacked out here a second time by something huge, on four legs, and with a mouth (three on this one) full of teeth.
