WHAT: After Starscream's death, Isaac starts to go home. However, he's pretty miserable and could use a friend. He heads to Dexter's... and the experiment by Shockwave done on Isaac is revealed.
WHERE: Dexter's apartment.
WHEN: Sometime after Starscream dies.
WARNINGS/NOTES: Dexter's narrative, Isaac's crazy and pottymouth.
Isaac feels numb as he arrives to his apartment. It's not nearly as devastating as when he acknowledged that Nicole was dead, when he watched the video onto completion. But it still weighs on him that ultimately he had to let Starscream die. Watch his body fade into a dull gray.
He closes his eyes, resting his forehead against his own apartment door. Too damned unfair. Sure, he recognizes the fact that Starscream wasn't the best person around, but. The Decepticon respected Isaac, which was more than any of the other Decepticons did. He didn't have to keep throwing his weight around as much, not with him.
Sure, he was a prick, but Starscream became. Tolerable.
"How many more need to die because of you? I know I did."
He can't do this by himself. "So damned desperate. You're better off dead."
It's pathetic, but Nicole is right.
Reluctantly, he finds himself knocking on Dexter's door.
