[Megatron arrives in due time about ten minutes later, dwarfing her by many scales. He arrived by flight, the thrum of rotor blades signaling his presence before he transforms. Thankfully he'd been considerate enough to choose a location that held a cliff-face of sorts, offering them both an easier view of the other.]

You are early.

[Eager.]

[She watches him arrive, tapping the recorder idly against her collarbone.]

Punctual. [She says dismissively, perching herself into a seated position, legs hitched side by side.]

I dislike being kept waiting, so I extend the same courtesy to others.

Yet you are here waiting for me regardless, because of said punctuality.

[He eyes the tiny device - it was something the Professor often used to recall his notes concerning his automatons.]

And if I hadn't, then it'd be you sitting here waiting for me. Vicious cycle. [She inclines her head in his direction, brow lifted as a tiny smile quirks at the corners of her mouth.]

You are correct.

[Megatron offers a tight-lipped smile.]

You have captured my curiosity.

[He also inclines his helm.]

For the moment.

[Relief, that.]

Great. Now -- our last topic was of this Megatron. [Her head tilts and she scans him with her eyes -- so regal, proud, held himself high. She indicates in his direction with her recorder.]

Is that you?

[His optics flicker much as they did the last time she mentioned that name.]

And how would you deduce that.

[This one is sharp.]

[She gestures.]

It seems like a logical conclusion.

[She ticks off the points on her fingers.]

You were referred to as a Megathingie, and upon further inquiry, that's where the proper name 'Megatron' came into play. You're the leader of this group called the Decepticons, and you hold yourself tall and proud, like a leader should.

[Roxanne shrugs, not intimidate in the least by his tone.]

It was obvious. A bit of digging this morning in the archives at the library told me that anyone bearing the name Optimus Prime or Megatron were forbidden here, and if found were to be immediately deported.

That must be inconvenient for you, trying to lead an army.

aww that was sweet. onetruesikorsky January 18 2011, 03:07:52 UTC
[Megatron watches her closely throughout the entirety of her little ramble. It would appear that one day was enough for this human to find her bearings and twist it to her advantage - her advantage being information gathering. She was slick with word choice, always twisting questions to further her own gain. They were alike in that aspect.]

Quite.

[His optics become a tad less friendly, but not entirely hostile. Not yet.]

...You appear to be adept at gathering information - what do you intend to do with it.

More than adept, but yes. [She relaxes, and touches her collar briefly.]

I'm not going to run screaming to the authorities, if that's what you're worried about. [She pressed her lips together in a thin line.]

I'm more curious about you, and doing something like that seems the like it's the fastest way to turn you off.

[Usually humans were a bit more uptight and uneasy in his presence. He does, after all, have quite a large cannon if she can't see it clearly. He doesn't particularly exude hospitality.]

Mm. Why so curious.

[He shifts briefly on his pedes, glancing off over the hilltop before he once more returns his hard stare to her.]

Information is a prized possession in my world, what makes you think you are so easily deserving of it. Or particularly trustworthy.

[Being dangled over alligator pits and having bombs strapped to your head numerous times over the years really just numbs a person to fear.]

I'm a reporter. [She says this as if it explains absolutely everything.]

Information is what I live by, what I look for in the day to day. [She regards him primly.]

As far as deserving or trustworthy -- well. [She hitches a shoulder in a half shrug.]

A lot of times people want their story told -- you and yours are perceived in a negative light, aren't you? [Judging from what she'd been told by Jazz, these 'Autobots' and 'Decepticons' were not exactly on friendly terms.]

['Unfriendly' was a very light choice of word.]

[He leans in closer, optics narrowing and lips thinning. He can see everything in perfect clarity, yet he could feel nor see any fear in her gaze.]

I have told my story.

[She blinks at him, and crosses her legs.]

You haven't told it to me.

You've offered me nothing of worth.
