His optics scanned the area as he determined where the fight would probably take place and moved quickly into a position that would allow him a proper view of the battlefield but still keep him out of sight. The signal dampener attached to his frame would help keep him off Starscream's and keep him from summoning Magnus here too soon.
Malcolm wanted it to be done with by the time his alternate arrived.
In place, there was nothing left to do but wait and hope his Second wouldn't fail him.
