it's always holes in the ground

WHO: DW!Shockwave
WHAT: Shockwave finds a lab!
WHERE: Zone 7.
WHEN: Mid-day.

Shockwave had his reasons for wandering down to Zone Seven, mostly involving further data collection. The area was not the nicest, but there was hardly reason for him to hold any concern. He was perfectly capable of protecting himself, should anything come up, and of course he hardly seemed like an easy target, not when one of his arms was a gun.

However there are somethings one cannot protect themselves from.

Those little unexpected things.

He couldn't say he saw the hole, in fact despite being mildly distracted, he had been certain that what had been before him was solid ground. A hole of which was not visible unless you knew it was there. Unless you were specifically looking for it. It was not what he needed, and felt far too much like recent events back upon his Cybertron.

"GAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH--"

His equilibrium snatched right out from beneath him!

It felt as though he had been falling for a while, far longer than he'd have expected. Calculated. But eventually he hit the bottom with a CLANG. Dust clouds pooled up around him, daintily floating about in the air, slowly gliding downwards. And downwards. Until it had all settled.

There was a moment of silence, as the mech merely lay on the ground, logically not upset with the matter. But. This was rather inconvenient.

He brushed some of the dust from his antennae and arms, slowly rising to his feet. And hitting his head.

"Hn!"

The scientist leaned forward slightly so that his head was no longer pressed up against whatever he had just hit, and slowly turned around.

...

Impossible.

No. Merely unlikely.

A lab. He had fallen into what seemed to be a fully stocked laboratory, unless his optic was malfunctioning. Neatly organized, and from the looks of it, unused for quite some time. A laboratory that belonged to none.

Of course he had been seeking work where he would be permitted full lab use, but that would restrict the work he would be able to do. There were some experiments he would never be able to get away with, not with others watching. But this. This on the other servo. He could use a place like this. Hidden from prying optics.

There was however, one slight problem. While the laboratory was quite clearly built for a Cybertronian, it was not built for one of his size. Shockwave made his way deeper inside, flicking his antennae back and slumping over so not to knock anything over or hit his head again. It was a place of near perfection. Something that with a little bit of fixing would be perfect. Oh the studies he could preform. If he were to bring a subject into a place like this, it would be likely that he would be permitted peace and quiet. No one would interfere with his work.

He could not just let this place go. Not when there were so many opportunities.

All he needed was a way to fix the size problem...
