WARNINGS: I guess Dirge has become a warning all of his own? XD
Dirge couldn't stand it anymore. He'd been trying his absolute hardest to leave his new spark alone- constantly having to yank his claws away from his chest when he finally noticed them wandering. It was impossible to stop thinking about it, what with the heat and the soft pulsing- the barren chamber now cramped with life.
Enough was enough- a small peek couldn't hurt. The jet had excused himself quickly to his room and settled down in front of a Transformer sized mirror in the corner. He winced as the cockpit panels slid away, still sore from the transplant surgery. But it was worth it just to lay optics on the bright light that shone suddenly so intense and blue from inside him. Dirge stared at it in awe, utterly transfixed by the glowing sphere... his spark- not someone else's this time- he was looking at his own.
The urge to touch it seized him, which he should have dismissed- Glit had warned him not to try and play with it so soon. But the desire was too intense, a greenish tinged light flashed brighter at the back of the chamber and Dirge decided he would do what he wanted.
Carefully....gently... he reached inside and brushed a talon against it.
