Did you continue to have memories connected to Ratchet when he was taken into processing? Do you know what it looks like, inside?

Soundwave: was dismissed from active duty.
[He pauses, pulling up what files he did have remaining from the Autobot's memories. The images were fragmented, distorted by whatever process they'd used on the medic to prevent him from remembering the Nexus in his home dimension... But there were a few useable ones.]

Then the only reason he took you in was to fix what he'd done when Ratchet was deported.
At least this means he can't control deportations.
[...at least, not entirely. There is still the matter of himself being brought back, but...that's different, isn't it? He was brought back, not prevented from leaving.]
