The whole thing was kind of a mess to be honest. Originally thought I was challenging the Tyran Skywarp to a match, somewhere along the lines it twisted into a four-way match. Drift and Sunny against me and 'a Con of my choosing'. Only 'Con here that isn't a bloodthirsty idiot is Starscream.
[Bet you never thought he'd say that. Though the 'idiot' bit is debatable]

I probably would've backed out but when Ratchet was recruited as a medic for the arena... Skywarp told him he didn't want to catch his bodyguard slinking around in the back and referred to me by name. Said specifically he didn't want me around back there so naturally I wondered what they were hiding.
[Cons hiding things usually equates to bad things happening later.]
Only way I'm going to be allowed anywhere near the arena, is that match, especially when I had a hand in trying to dissolve the matches before the war.
[That's a bit of an understatement there Prime. Jazz rubs a hand at the back of his helm.]

Drift wasn't very happy about it and neither was Perceptor when he heard about it. Sunny was being himself but also didn't come off as particularly thrilled. I don't necessarily have to fight.
I can show up early, see what they're hiding and just not show up for the match.
You also don't have to beat each other into status, either. [He gives Jazz a look. He's not nearly as concerned about this as Jazz is.]
Three fourths of your fight is made up of Autobots. Do what you need to do: find what you can, and put on a show if you must show up to remove suspicion. Treat it like a glorified spar. Since it is a mission, let the others know so you can plan accordingly. ...And so Sunstreaker doesn't get his fool aft carried away in the ring.
The arena isn't known for springing ambushes on competing Autobots, or Sunstreaker wouldn't have survived practically living down there for so long. So long as you don't get caught, they should have no reason to do anything other than enjoy the 'show'.
My only real concern with you three fighting each other is Starscream's involvement. [And Sunstreaker. But he's already mentioned him.]
No, we don't and I never planned on it. My only real concern is Sunstreaker and how he intends for this to go. I don't know how much he cares that he's going up against another Autobot.
[Who ever knew with Sunstreaker? They disagreed more than they ever agreed on anything.
He nods in agreement.]
I'll do that. I was hoping to treat it like a spar. It'd be good for all of us to keep in shape, in case we do need to fight. I'll talk to them both and we'll work it out.
[He grins.]
I won't get caught and I'm not worried about Starscream. He'd be stupid to try to kill one of us. Arena match or not, he knows we'll defend our own. [Yeah, Jazz and Sunstreaker will definitely be having a little chat.]
It's fine, really. I should have gotten around to that myself a long while ago. Send me a copy of the receipt, and we can at least split the cost.
