[Fortunately, as Optimus is holding the camera, it doesn't show quite how awkward a position he's stuck in. The feed is still shaky, as the Autobot seems to be... swaying, somehow.]
Err... Great.
Would anyone be able to lend a servo? I-
[He would have continued to explain, if the comm device hadn't slipped from his fingers. It lands face up, giving

[Have a stern look.]
I don't think that's helpful, Magnum.

[If he didn't crash into Optimus in the attempt. Wing's right about how awkward he is in the sky.]
Of course, there's always you.

[Nothing like building trust and compassion through laughing at another's misfortune...except not.]
There is always me. Which is why I've offered to help.
[He waits, daring you to try to refuse to let him.]

[Megatron grinned, peering at the transmission of the dangling Malgian, impressed that he'd even managed to get some of those cords wrapped around the way he had.]
Isn't it better to find humor in a bad situation than to simply mope?
I suspect it will take more than one flyer, if you're going to get any leverage on those snags. You'd best get to it.

[Though...true. That is impressively tangled.]
It's better to find humor in one's own situation than mope. Not another's.
I am waiting for his answer. He has the right to refuse my offer.

...better how?

[He sighs. You are not an easy student, Magnum.]
Better as in more productive? Laughing at another's suffering lacks compassion, Magnum.

[He tilts his head.]
Why must there be compassion in all I do, Wing? Is it not true that oftentimes we learn lessons better through our embarrassment? Compassion is nurturing, but it is also encouraging dependence.
Wouldn't it be so much simpler, after all, if we were all truthful about our feelings, instead of merely nice?

Everything but compassion creates walls between us: faction, ideology...mockery. If you cannot feel another mech's pain, you have no problem hurting him.
And our emotions are not always our best guides, Magnum. Emotions rise and fall, flare and fade.

[He peers at Wing.]
Of course I have no problem hurting him. I do not have this...anathema toward pain that you seem to flaunt. It is valuable to me. To us, as Cybertronians, for learning lessons, for becoming strong.
Tell me, Wing, are you ashamed of your emotions?

And why did you laugh?
[He bristles.] It's not an aversion to pain, Megatron. It is a lack of desire to needlessly hurt others.
[He tilts his head up.] I am afraid of nothing. I merely know that my emotions change. Anger fades, haven't you noticed? And have you ever regretted things done in the heat of anger?

[He flips back to watching Optimus continue dangling.]
You really ought to chose your battles better, Wing. I am allowed to laugh.
I...
[He frowns.]
have, yes. And it was my mistake. [Another growl.] He can dangle there helplessly or he can fix it, I do not care one way or another. It was not me who put him in his binds.

[He inclines his head toward Optimus.] If he were laughing, it would be different.
You are allowed to laugh, [he smirks at the word choice. Are you really giving him say?] but not in a way that will garner enmity, Magnum. I should think you have enough of that.
...and was it a 'mistake' you are unlikely to make again?
[Wing shakes his head.] Do you always weigh the cause of a mech's need in your decision? Strange math, Magnum.

I am aware.
[This? Is not a nice smirk, Wing.]
I will not make rules on my enjoyment. If you chose to defend him...then so be it. You can challenge me and win, and I'll stop my laughter.
But until then, I will be amused if I chose to be amused. It is better than my wrath.
I would still assist him, even so.

....
Challenge you? [He pauses, considering.]
Yes. If I win, you stop laughing. More: you apologize.
